The FAG 7314 -B-XL-TVP angular contact ball bearing, measuring 70 x 150 x 35 mm, can accommodate high radial loads and single-sided axial forces.
The 7314 -B-XL-TVP angular contact ball bearing is a single-row rolling bearing designed for demanding industrial applications. It has a bore of 70 mm, an outer diameter of 150 mm and a width of 35 mm. Manufactured from standard roller bearing steel 100Cr6, this bearing is characterised by high dimensional stability. As an open bearing, it can be flexibly integrated into lubricated housings, covering operating temperatures from –20 to +120 degrees.
The 7314 -B-XL-TVP angular contact ball bearing is used wherever high radial forces occur in conjunction with unidirectional axial forces. The angled raceways effectively transfer combined loads. Typical applications include general mechanical engineering, gearboxes, pumps and industrial drive trains. For alternating axial forces, installation in pairs with a mirror-image mating bearing is recommended.
The 40-degree contact angle gives this angular contact ball bearing a considerable axial load-carrying capacity in one direction. The integrated polyamide cage guides the rolling elements with minimal vibration and ensures a low unladen mass of the rotating assembly. With the standard tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1 and normal radial clearance, the component can be mounted precisely onto cylindrical shafts. Ensure a clean supply of lubricant for the open design.
This single-row angular contact ball bearing transmits radial and unilateral axial forces via raceways with a 40-degree contact angle. Manufactured from standard 100Cr6 rolling-bearing steel and fitted with a lightweight polyamide cage, it is suitable for demanding shaft mountings in continuous industrial use at temperatures ranging from –20 to +120 degrees.
The roller bearing has an inside diameter of 70 mm, an outside diameter of 150 mm and a width across flats of 35 mm. The outer ring has no flange or groove. These dimensions comply with the standardised 73 series and allow for the direct replacement of bearing units of the same dimensions in existing housings.
A contact angle of 40 degrees determines the direction of force transmission between the inner and outer rings. The larger this angle, the higher the axial loads that the single-row bearing can accommodate. Designs subject to high axial thrust forces in one direction benefit from this geometry compared with bearings having a smaller angle.
Open bearings do not have integrated sealing washers. Lubricants such as grease or oil must be applied and retained via the housing design. At the same time, an external housing seal protects the bearing from the ingress of dirt and moisture, ensuring the service life of the raceways under operating conditions of up to +120 degrees.
The model features a standard radial bearing clearance and tolerance class P0/PN, which corresponds to the ABEC 1 classification. This standard tolerance ensures a precise fit for typical mounting seats in mechanical engineering. The standard bearing clearance ensures that the required operating clearance is maintained after the bearing has been pressed onto the shaft.
As single-row angular contact ball bearings can only accommodate axial forces in one direction, the design usually requires a second bearing to provide counter-support. You can combine two bearings in an O or X arrangement to accommodate alternating axial loads. When installing the bearings, take great care to ensure that the high shoulders are correctly aligned with the direction of the load.
