The FAG 7311 -B-XL-TVP angular contact ball bearing (55x120x29 mm) accommodates high radial loads as well as single-direction axial loads at a 40-degree contact angle.
The 7311 -B-XL-TVP angular contact ball bearing is a single-row rolling bearing made from standard bearing steel (100Cr6). The design, with a 55 mm bore, 120 mm outer diameter and 29 mm width, features angularly offset raceways. This enables the open bearing to effectively dissipate combined loads. The component is particularly suitable for bearing arrangements where rotating shafts must be guided precisely and axial forces must be supported in one direction.
The 7311 -B-XL-TVP angular contact ball bearing is suitable for bearing arrangements where radial loads and high axial forces in one direction occur simultaneously. Thanks to its large contact angle of 40 degrees, the component effectively absorbs axial loads. It is frequently used in combined bearing arrangements where the axial load is predominantly on one side.
As single-row angular contact ball bearings can only accommodate axial forces in one direction, they are usually mounted in conjunction with a second bearing. This mating bearing supports the axial force in the opposite direction and ensures that the rotating shaft is guided without play or with a specific preload.
The -B-XL-TVP design is characterised by a contact angle of 40 degrees and a lightweight polyamide cage. The polyamide cage promotes smooth running and reduces friction losses during acceleration in the temperature range from –20 to +120 degrees Celsius.
As an open rolling bearing, this variant has no factory-fitted seals. The bearing can be integrated directly into an external lubrication circuit using oil or grease. A clean installation environment and suitable sealing elements in the housing help to keep dirt particles away from the rolling elements.
The main dimensions are 55 mm internal diameter, 120 mm external diameter and 29 mm width. The outer ring is cylindrical in design and has neither a flange nor a ring groove.
The line of action of the force runs at an angle of 40 degrees obliquely to the radial plane through the points of contact between the ball and the raceway. This comparatively steep angle gives the roller bearing a high load-carrying capacity for axial forces in a defined load direction.
The polyamide cage guides the rolling elements whilst being lightweight and dampens vibrations during operation. The thermoplastic material reduces friction on the balls and is suitable for operating temperatures ranging from -20 to +120 degrees Celsius.
Open roller bearings do not have their own cover seals or lip seals. They allow lubricating oil to flow directly through them or enable targeted greasing via housing lubrication systems. In this case, the surrounding housing structure provides the seal against dirt and moisture.
This version is manufactured to the standard tolerance class P0 or PN, which corresponds to the ABEC 1 rating. This standard tolerance meets common requirements in mechanical engineering and for standard drives.
