The FAG single-row angular contact ball bearing 7306 -B-XL-TVP-UO, measuring 30x72x19 mm, accommodates combined loads whilst ensuring smooth running.
The 7306 -B-XL-TVP-UO angular contact ball bearing transmits radial and axial forces via the angularly offset raceways between the inner and outer rings. Thanks to the 40-degree contact angle, this design is particularly effective at absorbing axial forces in one direction. Manufactured from standard 100Cr6 rolling-bearing steel and fitted with a lightweight polyamide cage, this open bearing operates within a temperature range of –20 to +120 degrees Celsius. The standard radial clearance and tolerance class P0 ensure precise guidance of rotating shafts.
Typical applications are found in mechanical engineering wherever radial forces and unidirectional axial forces occur simultaneously. As a single angular contact ball bearing can only accommodate axial loads in one direction, it is often used in conjunction with a counter-bearing to provide support. Designs with rotating shafts benefit from the stable ball support, which enables a guided and rigid bearing arrangement to be achieved.
The suffix combination UO denotes a universal design for installation in sets. If two bearings of this specification are mounted directly adjacent to one another in an O or X arrangement, a play-free condition is achieved without the need for spacer rings. This facilitates the design of axially play-free bearing arrangements. The integrated polyamide cage reduces friction and noise. As this is an open bearing without integrated mechanical seals, external lubrication and protection against foreign particles must be provided during operation.
The main dimensions are a bore diameter of 30 mm, an outside diameter of 72 mm and a width of 19 mm. The bearing is designed as a single-row angular contact ball bearing for specified axial and radial loads.
The suffix ‘UO’ denotes a universal design for paired arrangements. When two identical bearings are fitted opposite each other in an O or X arrangement, the bearing pair is free of axial play without the need for additional shims.
The contact angle describes the line of action of the force through the points of contact between the balls and the raceways. With an angle of 40 degrees, the roller bearing is specifically designed to accommodate high axial forces parallel to radial loads.
In this design, the balls are guided by a dimensionally stable polyamide cage (designation TVP). The plastic material reduces the weight of the component, minimises internal friction and helps to ensure quiet operation.
The component is designed for operating temperatures between –20 and +120 degrees Celsius. In addition to the thermal properties of the 100Cr6 rolling bearing steel, the behaviour of the polyamide cage is the main limiting factor here.
As an open bearing, this variant does not come with any integrated sealing washers fitted by the manufacturer. Operation therefore requires application-specific oil or grease lubrication, as well as external sealing of the bearing housing to protect against dust and moisture.
