The SKF 7207 BECBP angular contact ball bearing, with a 35 mm bore and a 40-degree contact angle, provides precise guidance for combined radial and axial loads.
As a single-row ball bearing, the 7207 BECBP accommodates high radial forces and single-direction axial forces simultaneously. Thanks to the SKF Explorer design and the 100Cr6 material, the bearing performs reliably in demanding continuous operation. The open design allows for flexible lubricant selection directly within the housing. Thanks to dimensional accuracy to tolerance class P6 and enhanced running accuracy P5, the unit operates with low vibration even at high speeds.
Typical applications include bearing arrangements subject to combined loads, where axial forces in one direction are carried alongside radial forces. As a single-row angular contact ball bearing can, by design, only accommodate axial forces from one side, it is frequently fitted in pairs against a second bearing in mechanical engineering applications. The design is universally adaptable: when mounted in an O or X arrangement, a specific amount of axial clearance is established within the bearing pair. This simplifies alignment during shaft mounting.
The nominal contact angle of 40 degrees gives the unit a high axial load-carrying capacity for its dimensions of 35x72x17 mm. The rolling elements and raceways transmit the forces at an angle to the radial plane. The integrated polyamide cage guides the balls with low friction and ensures a low weight. An operating temperature range of –20 to +120 degrees is permitted. As no integrated sealing washers are fitted, you should protect the bearing location from foreign particles via the housing.
This single-row radial angular contact ball bearing has a contact angle of 40 degrees and can accommodate radial and unilateral axial loads. Manufactured from standard roller bearing steel 100Cr6, it features a lightweight polyamide cage, dimensional accuracy class P6 and running accuracy class P5.
The roller bearing has a bore of 35 mm, an outside diameter of 72 mm and a width of 17 mm. The outer ring is cylindrical in design and has no flange or groove.
The bearing rings are designed at their ends so that, when fitted in an O or X configuration, a pair of bearings has a defined, small amount of axial clearance. This facilitates installation in pairs to accommodate axial forces acting in both directions.
The permissible operating temperature range is from -20 to +120 degrees Celsius. The upper temperature limit is determined by the polyamide cage fitted, which remains dimensionally stable and wear-resistant within this range.
As an open angular contact ball bearing, it has no factory-fitted sealing washers and contains no initial grease. Lubrication with grease or oil is carried out as required by the application via the housing design, which also acts as a seal against dirt.
The single bearing is manufactured with standard radial bearing clearance. The final operating clearance is established during operation and, when mounted in pairs, depends on the chosen arrangement and the fits on the shaft and housing.
