The single-row FAG angular contact ball bearing 7413 -B-MP-UA with a 65 mm bore combines high axial load-carrying capacity, achieved through a 40-degree contact angle, with a robust brass cage.
The 7413 -B-MP-UA angular contact ball bearing is an open, single-row radial rolling bearing made from standard 100Cr6 bearing steel, designed for demanding industrial applications. In addition to radial forces, the design accommodates high axial forces on one side. Thanks to its manufacture to standard tolerances (P0/PN or ABEC 1) and its design for operating temperatures ranging from –20 to +150 degrees, this component is suitable for shaft bearings subject to both thermal and mechanical stress.
This design is suitable for bearing locations where combined loads with a high proportion of axial force act in one direction. The open design, without integrated seals, allows for external lubricant supply as well as the circulation of lubricating oil or grease within the housing. The brass cage guides the rolling elements stably between the raceways of the inner and outer rings.
The nominal contact angle of 40 degrees ensures that the bearing effectively dissipates axial loads, as the force flows diagonally to the radial plane via the raceways. The designation ‘UA’ identifies this angular contact ball bearing as a universal bearing for installation in pairs. When mounted in pairs in an O or X arrangement, a small amount of axial clearance is automatically established. This allows you to mount the component directly in the assembly without the need for time-consuming fitting.
The bearing has an inside diameter of 65 mm, an outside diameter of 160 mm and a width of 37 mm. The outer ring is cylindrical in design and has neither a flange nor a ring groove. These key dimensions allow it to be fitted in standardised bearing housings with a suitable shaft fit.
The abbreviation UA denotes a universal design for installation in sets. If two bearings of this design are fitted in pairs in an X or O configuration, the system inherently results in minimal axial clearance. This eliminates the need for time-consuming adjustment of spacer rings during installation.
The brass cage guides the rolling elements along their path and maintains the correct spacing between them. Brass is characterised by good emergency running properties and mechanical stability in the face of vibrations and lubricants. This design is suitable for operating temperatures ranging from -20 to +150 degrees.
As an open roller bearing, the 7413 -B-MP-UA design has no integrated seals or cover plates. The lubricant can flow freely through the interior, which improves heat dissipation within the housing. Protection against dirt and moisture is provided by the surrounding housing seal.
This roller bearing is designed for operating temperatures between -20 and +150 degrees. The rings and rolling elements, made from standard 100Cr6 rolling-element steel, retain their dimensional stability within this range. Ensure that the housing lubricant used is suitable for these thermal operating conditions.
Due to the 40-degree contact angle, a single angular contact ball bearing can only support axial forces in one direction. If varying axial loads occur during operation, combine two universal bearings in an O or X arrangement to form a matched bearing pair.
