The FAG 3214 -B-TVH angular contact ball bearing accommodates combined loads and features compact dimensions of 70 × 125 × 39.7 mm for demanding shaft support applications.
The FAG 3214 -B-TVH double-row angular contact ball bearing is designed to support rotating shafts whilst withstanding simultaneous loads from the radial direction and from both axial directions. Thanks to its contact angle of 40 degrees, this design can accommodate high axial forces. Manufactured from standard rolling-element bearing steel (100Cr6) with standard radial clearance and tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1), this component is suitable for precision mounting applications in general mechanical engineering.
This double-row design supports combined loads when transverse forces and longitudinal forces acting in both directions are applied simultaneously to the bearing mounting. Compared to two paired single-row bearings, this design requires less axial space on the shaft. As this is an open rolling bearing without integrated seals, the unit operates in lubricated housings fitted with external seals. The outer ring is designed without a flange or groove, which facilitates installation in cylindrical housing bores.
The suffix TVH denotes a polyamide cage that guides the rolling elements with low friction. The material dampens running noise and is designed for temperatures ranging from –20 to +120 degrees Celsius. When selecting a lubricant, care should be taken to ensure that the lubricants used are compatible with polyamide. This helps to support the function of the raceways during operation.
The bearing has an inner diameter of 70 mm, an outer diameter of 125 mm and a total width of 39.7 mm. The outer ring is cylindrical, with no flange or groove. These dimensions define the standardised design for housing installation.
The designation TVH refers to a polyamide cage. This material is characterised by its low weight, damping properties and elastic behaviour. The design is suitable for operating temperatures ranging from -20 to +120 degrees Celsius.
Double-row angular contact ball bearings accommodate both radial and axial forces from both directions simultaneously. Thanks to the 40-degree contact angle, the component transmits axial loads at an angle to the radial plane. The double-row arrangement ensures stable shaft guidance.
As an open roller bearing, this design has no integrated seals. Lubrication is provided by the surrounding system using lubricating oil or grease. To prevent lubricant loss and the ingress of dirt particles, a seal on the housing side is required.
The roller bearing is manufactured with standard radial clearance and complies with tolerance classes P0/PN and ABEC 1. This classification meets standard industrial accuracy requirements for dimensional and runout tolerances.
