The FAG 7411 -B-MP-UA single-row angular contact ball bearing, measuring 55x140x33 mm, accommodates combined radial loads as well as single-sided axial loads.
The 7411 -B-MP-UA angular contact ball bearing is an open rolling bearing made from standard bearing steel (100Cr6) with a standard radial clearance. Thanks to its pronounced contact angle of 40 degrees, this design effectively supports axial forces in one direction. The solid brass cage guides the rolling elements stably under demanding operating conditions. The bearing is manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1), enabling it to fit into standardised housing and shaft seats.
This design is intended for bearing arrangements where high radial loads and unilateral axial forces occur simultaneously. As a single bearing can only accommodate axial forces in one direction, in practice it is often fitted in pairs with a second bearing mounted in the opposite direction. In this way, opposing axial forces within the shaft bearing arrangement can be guided in a controlled manner.
The suffix ‘UA’ denotes a universal bearing for installation in pairs. When two bearings of this type are fitted in an O or X arrangement, a defined, small amount of axial clearance is established. This simplifies installation, as it eliminates the need for manual adjustment using shims. The brass cage offers high mechanical strength and supports the permissible temperature range of -20 to +150 degrees Celsius.
The main dimensions are 55 mm bore diameter, 140 mm outer diameter and 33 mm width. The outer ring has no flange or groove, which allows for flush mounting in cylindrical housing bores.
The contact angle describes the line of force transmission between the inner ring, the balls and the outer ring. An angle of 40 degrees (indicated by the symbol B) enables the bearing to accommodate particularly high axial loads in the direction of action compared with bearings with smaller contact angles.
The universal UA design is intended for installation in pairs. When two bearings are fitted in an O or X configuration, the pairing is coordinated in such a way that a defined, small amount of axial clearance is achieved within the bearing set without the need for spacer rings.
As an open-type bearing, this bearing has no integrated cover or sealing washers. It is lubricated via the surrounding machinery system, for example by means of oil bath or recirculating lubrication. An external seal on the housing and shaft keeps out contaminants and retains the lubricant within the installation space.
Manufactured from 100Cr6 roller bearing steel and fitted with a brass cage, the angular contact ball bearing is suitable for operating temperatures between –20 and +150 degrees Celsius. This requires the use of a lubricant that is suitable for the respective operating temperature.
