The FAG 7322 -B-XL-TVP angular contact ball bearing, measuring 110 × 240 × 50 mm, can accommodate high radial forces as well as single-sided axial loads.
The FAG 7322 -B-XL-TVP angular contact ball bearing is a single-row rolling bearing for industrial applications. Thanks to the diagonally opposed raceways in the inner and outer rings, this design is specifically suited to combined loads. The open bearing, made from standard roller bearing steel 100Cr6, has a cylindrical bore of 110 mm, an outer diameter of 240 mm and a width of 50 mm. It is manufactured to tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1 and has a standard radial clearance.
This rolling bearing is used when rotating shafts must simultaneously support high radial forces and defined axial forces in one direction. Due to the contact angle, the forces acting on the bearing are transmitted at an angle to the radial plane. As single-row angular contact ball bearings can only accommodate axial loads in one direction, in many designs they are mounted in a mirror-image arrangement paired with a second bearing as a counter-bearing.
The nominal contact angle of 40 degrees gives this bearing a high axial load-carrying capacity in one load direction. The suffix ‘TVP’ denotes a polyamide cage which guides the rolling elements and keeps the weight of the rotating assembly low. The permissible temperature range extends from –20 to +120 degrees Celsius. As an open design without an integrated seal, the bearing allows the lubricant and external housing seals to be individually tailored to the specific operating environment.
This single-row angular contact ball bearing from FAG accommodates combined loads consisting of radial and unilateral axial forces. It is characterised by a contact angle of 40 degrees, a polyamide cage and construction from standard roller bearing steel 100Cr6 in tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1.
The bearing has a bore of 110 mm for the shaft seat, an outer diameter of 240 mm for the housing bore and a total width of 50 mm. The outer ring has a cylindrical surface without a flange or groove.
The contact angle describes the inclination of the line of action between the points of contact of the balls and raceways relative to the radial plane. An angle of 40 degrees, indicated by the suffix B, enables a high axial load-carrying capacity in one direction.
The abbreviation TVP stands for a polyamide cage that guides the balls. This material is characterised by good damping properties and low friction. The cage limits the upper temperature range to 120 degrees Celsius.
The permissible operating range extends from -20 to +120 degrees Celsius. The main limiting factor here is the polyamide cage, whilst the 100Cr6 rings remain dimensionally stable. This temperature range must be taken into account when selecting the lubricant.
The bearing has no integrated sealing washers and is designed as an open type. It can be lubricated with lubricating oil or grease, depending on the application. Protection against contamination and lubricant leakage is provided by external housing seals.
