The AHX2311 pull-off sleeve with a 1:12 taper is used to mount bearings with a tapered bore onto cylindrical metric shafts with a diameter of 50 mm.
The AHX2311 pull-off sleeve is used for the assembly and disassembly of roller bearings with a tapered bore on cylindrical shafts. With a bore of 50 mm, an outside diameter of 60 mm and a width of 54 mm, this component corresponds to the standard version. When the sleeve is pressed into the bearing bore, the bearing clearance is measurably reduced. A prerequisite for its use is that the bearing is axially supported at the shaft shoulder.
This assembly element is used in bearing arrangements where roller bearings with a tapered bore are mounted on metric shafts. The defined taper of 1:12 ensures a precise fit of the inner ring on the shaft. The clamping element compensates for dimensional tolerances between the shaft and the bearing. A key benefit becomes apparent when replacing the bearing: by screwing on a groove nut, the press fit can be released in a controlled manner during disassembly.
For correct installation, the inner ring of the rolling bearing must be supported axially against a fixed shaft shoulder. The slotted sleeve is pressed carefully into the gap between the shaft and the bearing inner ring, thereby reducing the radial bearing clearance. The slotted nut and locking plate are not included in the scope of supply and must be selected separately to suit the installation location. The sleeve is designed for cylindrical shaft seats with a metric diameter.
The sleeve is used to mount roller bearings with a tapered bore onto cylindrical shafts with a diameter of 50 mm. When pressed into the bearing bore, it expands the inner ring in a controlled manner. It also allows for quick disassembly, as a slotted nut allows the bearing to be easily pulled out of its seat during maintenance work.
The component has an internal diameter of 50 mm, suitable for cylindrical shaft seats. The outer diameter is 60 mm at the widest point of the cone, whilst the overall width of the sleeve is 54 mm. These dimensions comply with the standardised specifications for the corresponding bearing series.
The pitch of 1:12 describes the ratio between the increase in diameter and the axial length of the outer surface. Over a length of 12 millimetres, the diameter of the sleeve increases by exactly one millimetre. This standardised taper fits perfectly with roller bearings whose inner ring bore is designed for this dimension.
This version is designed exclusively for metric shafts. The nominal diameter of the shaft at the bearing seat is exactly 50 mm. This variant is not suitable for imperial shaft dimensions, as the internal diameter is manufactured to fit smooth, metric cylinders precisely.
The pull-off sleeve is the standard version. Retaining elements such as slotted nuts and retaining plates are not included in the scope of supply. These accessories must be ordered and fitted separately in accordance with the requirements of the installation site, the thread dimensions and the loads.
To dismantle the unit, first remove the axial shaft lock. Next, screw a suitable groove nut onto the thread of the pull-off sleeve. By tightening the nut against the inner ring of the roller bearing, the sleeve is drawn out of the tapered bore in a controlled manner, thereby releasing the press fit.
