The FAG 32215 tapered roller bearing (75 x 130 x 33.25 mm) can accommodate high radial and axial loads simultaneously and is suitable for demanding industrial applications.
The 32215 tapered roller bearing is a single-row roller bearing to standard tolerance P0/PN (ABEC 1), designed for combined loads. Its dimensions are 75 mm bore diameter, 130 mm outside diameter and 33.25 mm overall width. As an open, complete bearing from FAG Rolling Bearings, it features a sheet steel cage that guides the tapered rollers. This tapered roller bearing is typically used in shaft mountings and gearbox stages in general mechanical engineering applications where defined guiding forces are required.
This roller bearing accommodates high radial forces as well as axial forces from one direction. As the extended lines of action of the tapered rollers converge on the bearing axis, the rolling elements roll without slippage. Design engineers prefer to use the 32215 design in bearing arrangements subject to combined loads. To accommodate alternating or bidirectional axial forces, the bearing is usually mounted in pairs in a counter-rotating arrangement with a second tapered roller bearing, with the bearings aligned against each other.
Tapered roller bearings are not self-retaining. The inner ring with roller set and the outer ring can be fitted separately, which facilitates installation in housings and on shafts. The operating clearance is only created by the deliberate alignment of the bearing rings during assembly. The integrated sheet steel cage is designed for a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees. External housing seals and lubricants should be selected to suit the ambient conditions.
A single-row roller bearing with truncated cone-shaped rolling elements, designed to withstand high radial and unilateral axial loads. With an inner diameter of 75 mm, an outer diameter of 130 mm and a width of 33.25 mm, it offers standard dimensional accuracy in accordance with tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1). The geometric alignment of the roller tracks prevents kinematic forced slip during power transmission.
The bearing has an internal diameter (bore) of 75 mm, an external diameter of 130 mm and a total width across both rings of 33.25 mm. These dimensions are standardised, ensuring that the bearing fits precisely into corresponding housing bores and can be mounted on suitable shaft sections.
A single single-row tapered roller bearing can only accommodate axial forces in one direction. Where loads act from both directions, or to guide a shaft without axial play, two bearings are mounted in a mirror-image configuration. The required operating clearance can be adjusted once the bearings are installed by aligning them against each other.
The inner ring, together with the roller set, and the outer ring do not form a single unit and can be fitted separately. This considerably simplifies assembly work in mechanical engineering, as the rings can be fitted onto the shaft and housing one after the other. Furthermore, the fact that they can be separated simplifies inspections and the replacement of individual components during maintenance work.
This version is designed for operating temperatures between -30 and +120 degrees Celsius. The integrated sheet steel cage retains its mechanical properties within this range. To ensure trouble-free operation, a lubricant must be selected that provides the required viscosity across the entire temperature range.
As this is an open design without integrated sealing washers, the bearing requires external housing seals. Depending on the environmental conditions, such as dirt or moisture, shaft seals, labyrinth seals or felt strips are fitted to the housing to prevent the ingress of foreign particles and the leakage of lubricant.
