The SKF single-row tapered roller bearing 32213, measuring 65 × 120 × 32.75 mm, can accommodate high radial and unilateral axial loads simultaneously.
The 32213 tapered roller bearing is a separable roller bearing in standard design. The assembly consists of an inner ring with a guided set of rollers and a separate outer ring. Thanks to the tapered geometry of the rolling elements and raceways, the design can transmit high mechanical forces. Manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1, it offers a defined standard precision for industrial applications.
The bearing is designed for combined loads where radial forces and axial guiding forces act simultaneously in one direction. As a single tapered roller bearing can only accommodate axial loads on one side, in practice they are usually mounted in pairs facing each other in an X or O configuration. This allows axial forces to be supported from both sides. The temperature range specified for the component is from –30 to +120 degrees Celsius.
As the inner and outer rings can be fitted separately, pressing onto the 65 mm diameter shaft and fitting into the 120 mm diameter housing bore can be carried out independently of one another. The sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements evenly along the raceways. Due to the design, the required operating clearance or a specific preload is not specified in advance, but is adjusted during assembly by axially aligning the bearing rings.
The bearing has an internal diameter of 65 mm (bore), an external diameter of 120 mm and a total width of 32.75 mm. These dimensions comply with the standardised 32213 series and allow for a dimensionally accurate replacement during repair work.
The outer ring can be completely removed from the inner ring, together with the roller set. This design makes assembly considerably easier, as you can fit the bearing rings onto the shaft and into the housing independently of one another before aligning the entire system axially.
P0 (standard tolerance according to DIN/ISO) or ABEC 1 defines the standardised accuracy with regard to dimensional, form and running deviations. This standard tolerance is sufficient for the vast majority of industrial applications and ensures reliable concentricity within the normal speed range.
The bearing is designed for an operating temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees Celsius. This range covers the typical thermal operating conditions in industrial drives and bearing locations.
The sheet steel cage maintains a fixed distance between the truncated cone-shaped rollers and prevents direct contact between the rolling elements. This reduces friction, guides the rollers evenly along the raceway and ensures a balanced distribution of forces.
When unmounted, tapered roller bearings do not have a fixed bearing clearance. The operating clearance or the desired preload is only set during assembly by axially aligning the bearing against a second, mirror-image tapered roller bearing.
