The SKF 22332 CCK/W33 self-aligning roller bearing, with a 160 mm bore and an outer diameter of 340 mm, offers high load-carrying capacity for heavy-duty industrial applications.
The SKF 22332 CCK/W33 self-aligning roller bearing is a double-row, open roller bearing designed for heavy radial and axial loads. Thanks to its barrel-shaped rollers, the bearing automatically compensates for misalignment and shaft deflection. This component, made from standard rolling bearing steel (100Cr6), features a standard radial clearance and a robust sheet steel cage. The SKF Explorer performance class design meets demanding requirements for load-carrying capacity and dimensional accuracy in industrial plant.
The design is suitable for demanding bearing locations subject to high radial forces, combined axial loads and possible misalignment between the shaft and housing. Thanks to its wide temperature range of –30 to +200 degrees, the bearing remains operational even under thermal stress. As an open design, the roller bearing is intended for protected installation spaces where lubrication is supplied via external housing seals.
The tapered bore with a taper ratio of 1:12 allows direct mounting on tapered shaft seats or, using mounting and withdrawal sleeves, on cylindrical shafts. The operating clearance can be adjusted during assembly via the axial sliding travel. The suffix W33 denotes an annular lubrication groove with lubrication holes in the outer ring, through which lubricant is fed directly between the rows of rollers. The tolerance class combines normal dimensional accuracy (PN) with increased running accuracy (P5).
With a bore diameter of 160 mm, an external diameter of 340 mm and a width of 114 mm, this version complies with the standardised main dimensions for this size.
The designation describes a bearing with a steel cage (CC), a tapered bore with a 1:12 taper (K) and an annular lubrication groove with lubrication holes in the outer ring (W33).
As an open bearing, this design requires a suitable lubricant to be applied before commissioning. The component can be relubricated whilst fitted via the lubrication groove and the holes in the outer ring (W33).
The tapered bore (1:12) allows for precise mounting on tapered shafts or, using adapter sleeves, on cylindrical shafts. The remaining bearing clearance can be precisely adjusted by measuring the axial slide-on travel.
The permissible operating range is between -30 and +200 degrees. This means that the roller bearing is suitable for normal ambient temperatures as well as applications involving increased operating heat.
The tolerance class combines standard dimensional accuracy (PN) with the more stringent running accuracy (P5). This results in tighter concentricity tolerances on the inner and outer rings, which helps to ensure low-vibration operation.
