The SKF 22326 CCK/C3W33 self-aligning roller bearing, with a 130 mm bore, reliably compensates for misalignment and accommodates heavy radial and axial loads.
The SKF 22326 CCK/C3W33 self-aligning roller bearing is a double-row, open roller bearing made from standard bearing steel (100Cr6). It is designed to accommodate very high radial forces as well as axial forces acting in both directions. Thanks to the hollow-spherical outer ring raceway, the roller set adjusts its angular position automatically during operation. As a result, this roller bearing automatically compensates for misalignment and elastic shaft deflection. A sheet steel cage guides the symmetrical barrel rollers precisely between the raceways.
The self-aligning roller bearing is used in demanding mechanical designs subject to high radial loads and axial forces on both sides. It compensates for static and dynamic misalignments of the shaft relative to the bearing housing without causing impermissible edge stresses on the roller bodies. The wide operating temperature range of –30 to +200 degrees Celsius covers both thermally non-critical environments and applications with increased operating heat.
The suffix CCK denotes the tapered bore with a standard taper ratio of 1:12. This design facilitates assembly and disassembly on tapered shaft seats or using suitable mounting and withdrawal sleeves. The slightly increased radial bearing clearance (C3) compensates for the reduction in radial clearance that occurs when the inner ring is press-fitted axially onto the tapered seat. Furthermore, the C3 clearance allows for operational heating and uneven thermal expansion. The W33 designation indicates a lubrication groove with holes in the outer ring, which allows for direct relubrication within the housing.
With a bore diameter of 130 mm, an outside diameter of 280 mm and a width of 93 mm, the spherical roller bearing complies with standardised main dimensions. These dimensions allow it to be fitted into standardised housings as well as into machine designs with appropriately dimensioned shaft mounts.
The ‘K’ denotes the conical internal bore with a taper ratio of 1:12, whilst ‘CC’ stands for the internal design featuring symmetrical rollers and a sheet steel cage. This design facilitates the adjustment of the remaining bearing clearance when the bearing is radially mounted onto shafts or sleeves.
When the inner ring is press-fitted axially onto a tapered seat or a clamping sleeve, the inner ring expands elastically. This measurably reduces the internal operating clearance. The larger radial bearing clearance C3 prevents the bearing from running too tightly after assembly or from becoming stressed during operation.
A circumferential lubrication groove, together with lubrication holes in the outer ring, ensures a targeted supply of lubricant directly between the two rows of rollers. This simplifies relubrication whilst the bearing is fitted and aids the supply of lubricant inside the bearing.
In accordance with the specifications, this design combines dimensional accuracy in accordance with Class PN with increased running accuracy in accordance with Class P5. The tighter P5 running tolerance ensures low-vibration, smooth running at high speeds.
Specified for use in a temperature range of -30 to +200 degrees Celsius, this 100Cr6 roller bearing is suitable for applications involving fluctuating temperatures. With this open design, the usable temperature range during operation depends primarily on the resistance of the lubricant used.
