The SKF 24026 CC/W33 self-aligning roller bearing, measuring 130x200x69 mm, can accommodate high radial loads and automatically compensates for misalignment.
The 24026 CC/W33 self-aligning roller bearing is an open, double-row roller bearing made from standard bearing steel (100Cr6) for high radial and axial loads. As an SKF Explorer design, the component combines compact dimensions with an optimised internal geometry. Thanks to the hollow-spherical outer ring raceway, the bearing automatically adjusts to shaft deflection. The dimensionally stable sheet steel cage guides the symmetrical rollers and is suitable for a temperature range of –30 to +200 degrees Celsius.
This self-aligning roller bearing is used where high radial forces act on rotating shafts and, at the same time, misalignment between the housing and the shaft must be compensated for. The spherical raceway in the outer ring prevents unacceptable edge pressures on the rolling elements in the event of misalignment. The component is suitable for heavy-duty bearings in general mechanical engineering, which are designed for continuous static and dynamic loads.
The suffix W33 denotes a lubrication groove with lubrication holes in the outer ring, through which lubricant is fed directly between the two rows of rollers. The tolerance class combines dimensional accuracy within the standard tolerance (PN) with the enhanced running accuracy of class P5. As this is an open design without an integrated seal, protection against contamination and moisture is provided by the housing design.
The dimensions are 130 mm bore diameter, 200 mm outside diameter and 69 mm width. These key dimensions are standardised and allow for integration into suitable bearing housings and shaft seats.
CC refers to two window-type sheet steel cages, an inner ring without a guide ring, and symmetrical rollers. W33 denotes a circumferential lubrication groove with lubrication holes in the outer ring, which facilitates a uniform supply of lubricant directly into the rolling bearing.
The permissible temperature range is from -30 to +200 degrees Celsius for the version made from standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6). The grease or lubricating oil used must be approved for the relevant operating temperature.
The bearing has a standard radial clearance. This design is intended for typical fits and standard operating conditions where there are no extreme temperature differences between the inner and outer rings.
The open design, which does not use sealing washers, allows for flexible use with both grease and oil lubrication and does not cause any additional frictional torque due to seals coming into contact. Protection against dirt and moisture is provided by the surrounding machine housing.
The SKF Explorer design features improved surface finishes on the raceways and rollers, as well as optimised internal geometry. Together with the increased P5 running accuracy, this ensures smooth operation under high loads.
