The SKF 23152 CC/C2W33 spherical roller bearing, measuring 260 × 440 × 144 mm and featuring a lubrication groove and C2 clearance, offers high load-carrying capacity for demanding heavy-duty applications.
The 23152 CC/C2W33 self-aligning roller bearing is an open roller bearing designed for industrial applications involving high radial forces and axial loads acting in both directions. SKF manufactures this bearing from standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6) with a bore of 260 mm, an outer diameter of 440 mm and a width of 144 mm. Thanks to its angular contact design, the bearing automatically compensates for misalignment and shaft deflection during operation, thereby preventing edge stresses.
This rolling bearing is designed for heavy-duty applications where shafts exhibit elastic deflection under load or where there are misalignments between the housing seats. A sheet steel cage keeps the symmetrical barrel rollers spaced apart. To ensure effective relubrication, the outer ring features a circumferential lubrication groove with lubrication holes in accordance with the W33 designation, which facilitates the delivery of lubricant directly into the rolling zone.
The bearing features reduced radial clearance (C2). Such reduced clearance is recommended when particularly low-play guidance of the shaft is required and only minor differences in thermal expansion occur between the inner and outer rings. In combination with the increased running accuracy P5 and standard dimensional accuracy PN, the bearing ensures smooth and low-vibration operation. The unsealed design covers a temperature range from -30 to +200 degrees and requires an external sealing system within the housing.
With a bore of 260 mm, an outer diameter of 440 mm and a width of 144 mm, this roller bearing complies with standard dimensions. It is made from 100Cr6 bearing steel and is designed as an open bearing without seals.
The designation C2 indicates a reduced radial bearing clearance, which is below the standard tolerance CN. This tighter bearing clearance ensures precise radial shaft guidance; however, it requires controlled temperatures and precisely matched fit conditions during operation.
The W33 design features a circumferential lubrication groove and radial lubrication holes in the outer ring. These channels allow grease or lubricating oil to be fed directly into the bearing, between the two rows of rollers.
This model is manufactured to standard dimensional accuracy PN and restricted running accuracy P5. The tighter P5 tolerance class reduces radial and axial runout, which contributes to smooth, low-vibration operation.
The unsealed component is specified for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +200 degrees Celsius. As no integrated seals are fitted, the actual thermal operating limit depends primarily on the lubricant selected and the housing seal.
SKF fits this self-aligning roller bearing with a sheet steel cage. This cage design guides the two rows of rollers within the rolling element chamber and is suitable for all standard industrial lubricants within the permissible temperature range.
