The SKF 24132 CC/W33 spherical roller bearing, with dimensions of 160 × 270 × 109 mm, can withstand high radial loads and compensates for misalignment during operation.
The SKF 24132 CC/W33 self-aligning roller bearing is designed for demanding industrial applications. With a bore of 160 mm, an outer diameter of 270 mm and a width of 109 mm, this roller bearing withstands high radial forces as well as combined axial loads. The open design, made from standard 100Cr6 rolling-element bearing steel, is fitted with a sheet steel cage. This design is suitable for operating temperatures ranging from –30 to +200 degrees Celsius.
This self-aligning roller bearing is used in bearing arrangements where shaft deflection or misalignment occurs. Thanks to the hollow spherical outer ring raceway, the roller assembly automatically adjusts itself in the event of misalignment between the shaft and the housing. This feature helps to prevent edge loading on the rollers. The double-row barrel-shaped design enables the bearing to accommodate high dynamic loads in both directions, which counteracts premature wear during continuous operation.
The suffix W33 denotes a circumferential groove with lubrication holes in the outer ring, through which lubricant is fed directly between the two sets of rollers. The even distribution of grease or oil reduces friction at the rolling contact. In addition to the standard dimensional accuracy PN, this design features the tighter running accuracy P5. This combination supports precise guidance of the rotating components and reduces vibrations during demanding rotational movements.
This self-aligning roller bearing has an inner diameter of 160 mm, an outer diameter of 270 mm and a mounting width of 109 mm. Due to its dimensions, installation requires a housing that is manufactured to precise tolerances.
The designation W33 refers to a lubrication groove on the outer ring, featuring several lubrication holes. These openings allow lubricant to be fed directly from the outside into the interior of the rolling bearing, which simplifies relubrication whilst the bearing is in operation.
Whilst the main dimensions comply with the standard PN tolerance class, the running accuracy meets the tighter P5 class. This results in lower radial and axial deviations in run-out, which promotes smooth bearing operation.
The bearing, made from standard 100Cr6 roller bearing steel and featuring a sheet steel cage, is designed for temperatures ranging from -30 to +200 degrees Celsius. The lubricant used must be suitable for this operating range in order to maintain its lubricating effect at extreme temperatures.
Open roller bearings do not have integrated sealing rings, which allows lubricants to circulate freely and means the bearing is supplied via external lubrication systems. Consequently, their use requires a suitable housing seal to prevent the ingress of dirt particles or moisture.
