The FAG 2200 -TVH-C3 self-aligning ball bearing has compact dimensions of 10x30x14 mm, increased C3 clearance and automatically compensates for misalignment.
The FAG 2200 -TVH-C3 double-row self-aligning ball bearing is an open rolling bearing made from standard bearing steel (100Cr6) with a common hollow-spherical raceway in the outer ring. This design automatically compensates for angular misalignment and shaft deflection during operation. With key dimensions of a 10 mm bore, 30 mm outer diameter and 14 mm width, as well as a tolerance class of P0/PN or ABEC 1, the bearing is suitable for shaft mountings in industrial mechanical engineering and drive technology.
This double-row bearing performs well on shafts where misalignment between the inner and outer rings may occur or where elastic deflection is to be expected. Typical applications include mounting positions with misalignment as well as continuous rotational movements subject to combined forces. Due to its open design without an integrated seal, the bearing operates with low friction but requires external sealing and a targeted supply of lubricant.
The TVH suffix denotes a lightweight polyamide cage, which ensures quiet operation and reduces inertial forces in the bearing. In combination with the slightly increased radial clearance C3, the rolling bearing accommodates thermal differences between the inner and outer rings. When heated within the permissible temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees, the increased clearance helps to prevent the rolling elements from seizing.
With an internal diameter of 10 mm, an external diameter of 30 mm and a width of 14 mm, the component has compact overall dimensions. Together with tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1, the bearing meets standard industrial precision requirements for cylindrical shaft seats.
The designation C3 indicates a slightly increased radial clearance compared with the standard clearance. This increased internal space compensates for thermal expansion when the inner ring heats up more than the outer ring during operation. Furthermore, the C3 bearing clearance helps to prevent stress in the rolling elements in the case of tight fits on the shaft or housing.
The TVH cage is made of polyamide and is characterised by its low weight and its noticeable reduction in running noise. The cage guides the rolling elements at constant speeds and is designed for use within a defined temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
Without integrated sealing washers, the open design allows free access for lubricants such as oil or grease inside the housing. Compared with sliding seals, open self-aligning ball bearings generate lower friction losses and are suitable for installation spaces that are already protected from dirt externally by housing covers or sealing rings.
The outer ring of the double-row bearing has a continuous, hollow-spherical raceway. The inner ring, with its two rows of balls, can move freely within this raceway. The geometry automatically compensates for misalignment between the housing and the shaft caused by angular errors or deflection, without causing excessive edge pressures on the rolling elements.
The permissible temperature range is between -30 and +120 degrees. This range is primarily limited by the polyamide cage and the standard roller bearing steel 100Cr6. For applications within these thermal limits, the components retain their dimensional stability, provided that the selected lubricant is approved for the relevant temperature range.
