The 1312-TVH self-aligning ball bearing with a 60 mm bore flexibly compensates for misalignment and features two rows of balls in a lightweight polyamide cage.
The 1312 -TVH self-aligning ball bearing from FAG combines a 60 mm cylindrical bore with an outer diameter of 130 mm and a width of 31 mm. As a double-row rolling bearing made from standard bearing steel (100Cr6), this design features a common hollow-ball raceway in the outer ring. This enables the bearing to automatically compensate for misalignment between the shaft and the housing. This open-type bearing operates with standard radial clearance and is suitable for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +120 degrees.
This double-row self-aligning ball bearing is primarily used in bearing arrangements where misalignment between the bearing seats or elastic deflection of the rotating shaft occurs. Due to the hollow spherical shape of the outer raceway, the ball set pivots freely within the bearing without causing any additional edge pressure. In this open design, the lubricant is supplied directly via the surrounding machine housing using grease or lubricating oil.
The polyamide cage with the suffix TVH guides the two rows of balls with low friction and is characterised by its low weight. The bearing complies with tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1 and is designed for a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees. As no seals are integrated, the housing design ensures protection against foreign particles and the supply of the appropriate lubricant.
A double-row self-aligning ball bearing with a spherical outer ring raceway, which automatically compensates for angular misalignment and shaft deflection. The FAG version has a bore diameter of 60 mm, an outside diameter of 130 mm and a width of 31 mm. It is made from 100Cr6 rolling-bearing steel, has standard radial clearance and features a lightweight polyamide cage for smooth running.
The bearing has an inside diameter of 60 mm, an outside diameter of 130 mm and a width across flats of 31 mm. The cylindrical bore of the standard version allows it to be fitted directly onto a suitably machined shaft.
The suffix TVH denotes a polyamide cage. This material is characterised by its light weight and quiet operation. It is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +120 degrees and dampens mechanical vibrations during rotation.
The open design, which does not use sealing washers, allows for the free exchange of lubricant within the housing, for example via oil bath or centralised lubrication systems. At the same time, it allows for full angular adjustability of both rows of balls in the spherical outer ring. Sealing against dust and moisture must be provided by external housing seals as part of the design.
This bearing is manufactured with a standard radial clearance, which is designed for conventional fits and standard operating temperatures. It compensates for the usual reduction in diameter that occurs when the inner ring is pressed onto the shaft, thereby ensuring that the rolling elements continue to run with low friction during operation.
The component is designed for use at temperatures ranging from -30 to +120 degrees. The TVH polyamide cage is the determining factor for the upper temperature limit, whilst the 100Cr6 rolling bearing steel also withstands colder conditions down to -30 degrees. These temperature limits must be taken into account when selecting the lubricant.
