The FAG 1200 -TVH-C3 self-aligning ball bearing (10x30x9 mm) compensates for misalignment with its double-row design and offers thermal reserves thanks to its C3 clearance.
The FAG 1200 -TVH-C3 self-aligning ball bearing is a double-row rolling bearing made from standard 100Cr6 bearing steel with a cylindrical bore. With an inside diameter of 10 mm, an outside diameter of 30 mm and a width of 9 mm, this design is suitable for compact installation spaces. The continuous spherical hollow ball raceway in the outer ring allows the two rows of balls to be freely adjusted. As a result, the bearing automatically compensates for operational shaft deflection and misalignment between the inner and outer rings.
Designs featuring long or flexible shafts benefit from this self-aligning bearing, as static misalignments of the bearing housings and dynamic shaft deflections are compensated for without any significant increase in friction. Typical applications include bearing arrangements with separate housings or alignment errors resulting from installation. As an open component without integrated sealing washers, it requires external lubrication as well as protective measures against contamination provided by the customer. The permissible temperature range is from –30 to +120 degrees Celsius.
The suffix TVH denotes the integrated polyamide cage, which ensures smooth, quiet running and reduces the mass of the rolling element set. The slightly increased radial clearance (C3) provides additional leeway should temperature differences arise between the inner and outer rings, or should tight fits result in a slight reduction of the radial clearance. The component is manufactured to tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1 and features a standard inner ring design for direct shaft mounting.
This version has a bore diameter of 10 mm, an outside diameter of 30 mm and a width of 9 mm. These standardised dimensions allow for direct replacement in standardised bearing housings. The double-row bearing is made from standard rolling-element bearing steel 100Cr6 and has a standard inner ring design.
The outer ring of the bearing has a single hollow spherical raceway for both rows of balls. This allows the inner ring, together with the ball set, to pivot around the centre of the bearing during operation. Shaft deflection and housing misalignment are dynamically compensated for in order to prevent edge loading on the raceways.
The designation C3 indicates a slightly increased radial bearing clearance compared with the standard version. This increased clearance counteracts any straining of the rolling elements should heat be generated by the shaft during operation or should tight mounting seats reduce the operating clearance. This helps to ensure stable running under thermally demanding conditions.
The abbreviation TVH refers to a moulded polyamide cage that guides the rolling elements in both rows. The plastic material ensures smooth running, dampens operating noise and keeps the weight low. In combination with the bearing steel, this cage covers a usable temperature range from –30 to +120 degrees Celsius.
As this model is designed without abiding or non-contact seals, lubricant must be supplied on site. Depending on your requirements, you can lubricate the bearing with suitable greases or via a circulating oil lubrication system. To this end, the bearing housing requires an external seal to prevent the lubricant from escaping and to keep out dirt particles.
The roller bearing is manufactured to tolerance class P0 or PN, which corresponds to the international ABEC 1 standard. This standard tolerance meets the usual accuracy requirements of general mechanical engineering in terms of dimensional accuracy and concentricity. It can be easily fitted to and secured on standard shafts.
