The 1305 -TVH-C3 self-aligning ball bearing compensates for misalignment caused by shaft movement; it has a 25 mm bore, an outer diameter of 62 mm and a width of 17 mm.
The 1305 -TVH-C3 self-aligning ball bearing from FAG Rolling Bearings is a double-row rolling bearing made from standard 100Cr6 bearing steel. It absorbs radial forces and accommodates misalignment between the shaft and housing. Thanks to the hollow-spherical design of the outer ring, the ball set moves within the bearing with adjustable angular misalignment. This design features a standard inner ring and complies with tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1.
The 1305 -TVH-C3 self-aligning ball bearing is designed for bearing arrangements where shaft deflection or misalignment between the bearing positions may occur. Typical applications include shaft mountings with longer support spans or flexible substructures. As this is an open bearing without integrated seals, lubrication is provided by grease or oil from the housing environment. The permissible temperature range is from –30 to +120 degrees Celsius.
The material of the cage and the bearing clearance determine the running characteristics. The designation TVH indicates a polyamide cage, which guides the rolling elements and keeps the moment of inertia of the rotating mass low. The suffix ‘C3’ indicates a slightly increased radial bearing clearance compared with the standard clearance. This increased operating clearance helps to prevent the rolling elements from seizing up when operational temperature differences occur between the inner and outer rings, or when tight fits cause the inner ring to expand.
This double-row roller bearing has a bore of 25 mm, an outer diameter of 62 mm and a width of 17 mm. It is manufactured from 100Cr6 roller bearing steel to the standard tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1, with a cylindrical inner ring.
The inner surface of the outer ring is shaped as a continuous hollow spherical surface. As a result, the two rows of balls, together with the inner ring, pivot continuously out of the central position during operation. The design compensates for housing misalignment or shaft deflection, thereby minimising additional forced loads on the bearing points.
The suffix C3 indicates a slightly increased radial bearing clearance as supplied. The radial clearance between the balls and raceways is greater than in the standard CN version. This design is recommended for tighter fits or where the bearing is subject to heating during operation.
The abbreviation TVH denotes a polyamide cage. This material is characterised by its low weight and elastic properties. The cage guides the balls in the rolling element set and is designed for operation within a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees Celsius.
As an open bearing, this version does not have any factory-fitted seals. Before commissioning the unit for the first time, apply grease or lubricating oil via the housing structure. The lubricant selected must be suitable for the permissible temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees Celsius.
