The FAG QJ324 -N2-MPA four-point bearing accommodates high axial loads in both directions whilst maintaining compact dimensions of 120 × 260 × 55 mm.
The QJ324 -N2-MPA four-point bearing is a specialised radial ball bearing designed to accommodate high axial forces from both directions whilst requiring minimal axial installation space. Thanks to the split inner ring, the design accommodates a particularly large number of rolling elements, whilst the solid brass cage guides the rolling elements under demanding conditions. Designed as an open bearing, the component operates within a temperature range of -30 to +200 degrees and is suitable for oil- or grease-lubricated assemblies.
This bearing type is primarily used where predominantly alternating axial forces occur and the installation space is insufficient for double-row angular contact ball bearings. The component often serves as a pure axial bearing in combination with a separate radial bearing. In such an arrangement, the outer ring is radially unsupported within the housing, so that the bearing does not absorb any radial forces. Typical areas of application include industrial applications and bearing arrangements with varying force directions along the shaft.
The two-piece inner ring allows the outer ring, ball cage and inner ring halves to be fitted separately, which facilitates assembly onto the 120 mm shaft. The two retaining grooves in the outer ring, offset by 180 degrees, accommodate retaining pins from the housing. This allows the outer ring to be positively secured against rotation, which is particularly crucial for axial bearing arrangements where there is radial housing play. The bearing complies with tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1 with standard radial clearance.
This roller bearing accommodates high axial forces in both directions and requires little axial installation space. It features a split inner ring for a high ball density, a guided brass cage and two retaining grooves in the outer ring, offset by 180 degrees.
The bore is 120 mm, the outer diameter is 260 mm and the bearing width is 55 mm. These standardised key dimensions determine the fit on the shaft and the mounting in the bearing housing.
The two retaining grooves, offset by 180 degrees, serve to prevent rotation within the housing. When the bearing is used purely as an axial bearing with radial clearance in the housing, retaining pins engage in these grooves and prevent the outer ring from rotating.
As the bearing is of an open design with no integrated seals, lubrication must be supplied via the housing. Depending on the operating environment and rotational speed, either lubricating oil or a suitable bearing grease with an external housing seal should be used.
The component is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +200 degrees. The material of the brass cage and the dimensional stability of the bearing rings allow it to operate even under high thermal stress in gearboxes and industrial plant.
The bearing complies with the standard tolerance class P0/PN, which is also known internationally as ABEC 1. This accuracy class meets common industrial requirements for dimensional and radial runout accuracy in standardised mechanical engineering components.
