The SKF 6319/C3 deep-groove ball bearing, with a 95 mm bore and increased bearing clearance, offers reliable running characteristics for demanding radial loads.
This single-row deep groove ball bearing 6319 /C3 primarily accommodates radial forces as well as axial loads in both directions. Manufactured from standard rolling bearing steel 100Cr6, the open bearing is characterised by high dimensional stability. A sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements evenly into the deep raceways. Thanks to its open design, lubricant reaches the contact surfaces unhindered, enabling a wide operating temperature range between –20 and +150 degrees.
This design is primarily used in bearing arrangements subject to high radial forces and axial guidance forces, where elevated operating temperatures or temperature differences between the shaft and housing may occur. The open design requires a clean housing environment or external shaft seals. It allows for both oil and grease lubrication. Thanks to its key dimensions – a bore of 95 mm, an outside diameter of 200 mm and a width of 45 mm – the 6319 series is designed to withstand high mechanical loads.
The suffix C3 indicates an increased radial clearance compared to the standard. This additional clearance between the rolling elements and raceways compensates for thermal expansion when temperature differences arise between the inner and outer rings during operation. Even with tight fits on the shaft or in the housing, the C3 clearance helps to prevent the bearing from seizing. The manufacturing accuracy corresponds to tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1.
A single-row radial ball bearing from SKF with a bore diameter of 95 mm, an outer diameter of 200 mm and a width of 45 mm. It has no integrated seals and features an increased clearance (C3).
The C3 bearing clearance provides greater radial play when the bearing is unmounted. This ensures that the bearing continues to operate smoothly even when press fits cause the inner ring to expand or when operational temperature differences cause the components to expand at different rates.
The bearing is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -20 to +150 degrees. As no elastomer seals are fitted, it is primarily the chosen external lubricant that determines the specific temperature limit of the entire bearing assembly.
Depending on the requirements, open roller bearings are supplied with grease or circulating lubricating oil via the surrounding housing. The lubricant can flow directly onto the raceways and must be protected against external contamination.
A dimensionally stable sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements at defined intervals. This type of cage is suitable for normal to high operating temperatures and is resistant to lubricants and typical operational vibrations.
