The FAG 626-2Z deep-groove ball bearing, with its compact dimensions of 6 × 19 × 6 mm, offers reliable protection against dirt whilst maintaining low frictional resistance.
The 626-2Z deep-groove ball bearing is a single-row miniature roller bearing designed for compact shaft diameters of 6 mm. With an outside diameter of 19 mm and a width of 6 mm, the bearing primarily accommodates radial loads. Thanks to the deep raceway geometries, it is also suitable for moderate axial forces in both directions. FAG manufactures this model from standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6), which gives the component high dimensional stability under load.
Design engineers prefer to use this compact deep-groove ball bearing in precision mechanical assemblies and compact small drives. This standardised size proves its worth wherever installation space is limited and rotating shafts need to be guided. Thanks to the cylindrical outer ring without a flange or groove, the component can be fitted precisely into housing bores. A robust sheet steel cage reliably maintains the correct spacing between the rolling elements and ensures smooth running characteristics.
The designation -2Z refers to sheet steel cover plates fitted on both sides, which act as non-contact gap seals. This design shields the bearing interior from coarse dirt particles and dust without causing friction losses or additional heat generation during operation. The bearing is designed with standard radial clearance and is rated for a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees. This version is manufactured to the standard tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1.
With a bore of 6 mm, an outside diameter of 19 mm and a width of 6 mm, the bearing complies exactly with standardised miniature dimensions. This compact size is suitable for precision micro-shafts and precision mechanical bearings where installation space is limited.
The designation -2Z refers to two non-contacting sheet-metal cover discs, which are fitted to both sides of the outer ring. They keep dirt particles away from the raceways without generating any frictional torque on the shaft.
This version is manufactured with standard radial bearing clearance. This factory-set bearing clearance ensures balanced operational behaviour with standard mounting fits and at normal operating temperatures, without extreme thermal expansion of the shaft.
The specified temperature range is between -30 and +120 degrees. Within these thermal limits, the material and rolling elements reliably maintain their defined operating characteristics in standard industrial applications.
The outer and inner rings, as well as the rolling elements, are made of hardened standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6). This material is characterised by high dimensional stability, compressive strength and strength under dynamic loads.
A dimensionally stable sheet steel cage ensures that the rolling elements are kept at a safe distance from one another. As a result, the guided row of balls runs smoothly in the grooves, minimising wear between the rolling elements.
