The 6011-RSR deep groove ball bearing from FAG Wälzlager, measuring 55x90x18 mm and featuring a single-sided RSR seal, offers targeted protection against contamination whilst allowing for flexible relubrication.
The 6011 -RSR deep groove ball bearing is a single-row rolling bearing from FAG Wälzlager, manufactured to standard tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. It has a 55 mm bore, an outer diameter of 90 mm and a width of 18 mm. The design, made from standard rolling-bearing steel 100Cr6 with a sheet steel cage, primarily accommodates radial and axial forces in both directions. Thanks to its standard radial clearance, this bearing is suitable for precise shaft guidance at conventional operating temperatures.
Design engineers and maintenance personnel primarily use the 6011 -RSR deep groove ball bearing in rotating assemblies subject to contamination on one side only. The dimensions, designed for a 55 mm shaft, meet typical requirements in general mechanical engineering. Thanks to the flangeless cylindrical outer ring, the bearing fits precisely into standard housings. It is suitable for installations where one side needs to remain protected from dust, whilst the open opposite side allows lubricant to enter via the internal space.
The RSR design features a single-sided seal that repels dirt and moisture on the outer side. At the same time, the other side of the bearing remains open, allowing lubricating oil or grease from inside the housing to reach the rolling elements unhindered. When designing the system, take into account the permissible temperature range of -30 to +100 degrees and the standard radial bearing clearance. This requires the bearing seats to be precisely aligned to prevent stress build-up during operation.
The dimensions are 55 mm internal bore, 90 mm external diameter and 18 mm width. The cylindrical outer ring has no groove and no flange. With these dimensions, the component fits standardised shaft seats in general mechanical and plant engineering.
The designation RSR refers to a single-sided, sliding seal. This contact seal protects the interior from the ingress of dust and particles from the closed side. The opposite side remains open, allowing lubrication directly into the interior of the housing.
FAG Wälzlager manufactures the solid bearing rings and rolling elements from standard bearing steel of grade 100Cr6. This material offers high dimensional stability under load. A lightweight cage made from pressed sheet steel ensures the even guidance of the rolling elements.
The permissible operating range is between -30 and +100 degrees Celsius. This range is largely determined by the material of the sliding sealing lip. Within this temperature range, the sealing material retains its function and protects the raceways from the ingress of foreign particles.
The standard radial bearing clearance corresponds to the factory-set standard bearing clearance, which is designed for conventional fits and moderate operating temperatures. The radial clearance describes the range of movement of the rolling elements between the rings when the bearing is unloaded and ensures smooth running after installation.
This model complies with the standard tolerance class P0 or PN, which is equivalent to the ABEC 1 rating. This tolerance class defines the dimensional limits for the bore, outer diameter and concentricity, and ensures a precise fit in standard housings.
