FAG single-row deep-groove ball bearing 6013 -2Z-C3 with a 65 mm bore, non-contacting end shields and increased C3 bearing clearance for a wide range of industrial applications.
The single-row deep-groove ball bearing 6013 -2Z-C3 from FAG is primarily designed to accommodate radial forces as well as moderate axial loads in both directions. Manufactured from standard rolling-bearing steel 100Cr6, the component measures 65 x 100 x 18 mm. Thanks to the integrated sheet steel cage, the rolling elements run smoothly and are guided evenly. Maintenance engineers and designers are provided with a standard-compliant rolling bearing solution in tolerance class P0 (ABEC 1) for standardised shafts and housing bores without flanges or grooves.
This deep-groove ball bearing is typically used in industrial drives and rotating assemblies. The sheet metal shields on both sides protect the bearing interior from coarse dirt particles without generating additional friction or heat. This makes the design particularly suitable for rotating shafts operating at higher speeds. The permissible temperature range extends from -30 to +120 degrees Celsius, enabling the bearing to be used across a wide range of applications in general mechanical and plant engineering.
The designation 2Z indicates two non-contacting metal cover plates, which retain grease within the bearing and provide protection against foreign particles. The suffix C3 indicates an increased radial clearance. This compensates for thermal expansion due to operating heat, as well as deflection or interference fits of the 65 mm shaft, without the bearing becoming stressed. Before installation, check that there is sufficient installation space for the outer diameter of 100 mm and the width of 18 mm.
The bearing has an inside diameter of 65 mm, an outside diameter of 100 mm and a width of 18 mm. The cylindrical outer ring has no groove or flange.
C3 denotes a slightly increased radial bearing clearance compared with the standard version. This additional clearance between the rolling elements and the raceways helps to prevent seizing caused by operational heat build-up or tight fits on the shaft.
The sheet metal cover discs fitted on both sides seal off the interior without coming into contact with it. They keep out dirt particles and reduce lubricant leakage, whilst causing no friction losses at the sealing lips.
The approved temperature range extends from -30 to +120 degrees Celsius. This makes the component suitable for standard industrial environments without exposure to extreme cold or heat.
The inner ring, outer ring and rolling elements are made of standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6). A sheet steel cage is used to guide the balls precisely.
The bearing is manufactured to the standard tolerance class P0 (also known as PN or ABEC 1). It therefore meets the standard accuracy requirements for general mechanical engineering.
