The FAG 6321 single-row deep-groove ball bearing, with dimensions of 105 × 225 × 49 mm, provides a robust bearing solution for demanding industrial applications.
The 6321 deep-groove ball bearing is an open, single-row rolling bearing conforming to standard tolerance class P0/PN. The FAG bearing primarily accommodates radial forces as well as axial forces in both directions. Manufactured from standard roller bearing steel 100Cr6, this component is suitable for operating temperatures between –30 and +150 degrees Celsius. Thanks to its open design without integrated sealing washers, the roller bearing can be flexibly integrated into existing lubrication circuits. Maintenance engineers and designers appreciate the standardised dimensions, which ensure straightforward installation.
Thanks to its robust construction and dimensions of 105 mm bore and 225 mm outside diameter, the bearing has proven its worth in industrial drives and rotating shaft bearings subjected to combined loads. As the bearing is open at both ends, lubricating oil or grease from the housing system reaches the rolling elements and raceways unimpeded. The sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements evenly. The component is suitable for applications involving high speeds with stable radial guidance and moderate axial loads.
This model has standard radial clearance and requires a clean installation environment. As no seals are fitted as standard, external housing seals must prevent the ingress of dirt and moisture. The standard bearing clearance is suitable for normal operating temperatures and standard fits on the shaft and housing. The selected lubricant should be designed for a temperature range of -30 to +150 degrees to prevent wear on the roller bearing steel components.
The roller bearing has a bore of 105 mm, an outer diameter of 225 mm and a width of 49 mm. Thanks to these standardised dimensions, the component fits precisely onto corresponding shaft sections. The outer ring is cylindrical in design and has neither a flange nor a ring groove.
An open design without sealing washers allows external lubricants, such as gear oil or circulating grease, to flow freely. Furthermore, there are no friction losses caused by rubbing seal lips, which reduces heat build-up during operation. This requires reliable external sealing of the housing design to prevent contamination.
Standard radial bearing clearance refers to the standard internal clearance between the balls and raceways when no load is applied. This design is suitable when the shaft and housing have standard fits and there are no significant temperature differences between the inner and outer rings. This ensures that the bearing operates reliably and runs smoothly.
This bearing, made from standard 100Cr6 roller bearing steel, is designed for a temperature range of -30 to +150 degrees. The integrated sheet steel cage retains its shape throughout this entire range. To ensure trouble-free operation, the selected lubricant must also be approved for the relevant operating temperature.
In this model, a robust sheet steel cage guides the single-row arrangement of rolling elements. Sheet metal cages are characterised by their low weight and good resistance to lubricants. They are suitable for standard industrial applications and help to maintain a uniform spacing between the rolling elements during operation.
The bearing is manufactured to the standard tolerance class P0/PN, which corresponds to the ABEC 1 classification. This tolerance class fully meets the standard accuracy requirements of general mechanical engineering and drive technology. During assembly, the fit grades for the shaft and housing that are standard in mechanical engineering are sufficient.
