The 6302-RSR deep-groove ball bearing from FAG Wälzlager, measuring 15x42x13 mm and featuring a single-sided RSR seal, offers protection against contact whilst maintaining a compact design.
The 6302-RSR deep groove ball bearing from FAG Wälzlager is a single-row radial ball bearing made from 100Cr6 bearing steel. It accommodates radial forces as well as axial loads in both directions. Thanks to the single-sided sliding seal, the bearing shields the interior against particles, whilst the open side allows for lubricant exchange within the housing. With an inner diameter of 15 mm and an outer diameter of 42 mm, this roller bearing is suitable for a wide range of industrial bearing applications.
The 6302-RSR deep-groove ball bearing is suitable for assemblies where one side of the bearing needs to be shielded from external influences, whilst the other side faces the interior of the housing. The sliding seal protects the bearing’s interior from external contamination. On the open side, lubricant can reach the rolling elements unhindered. The sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements evenly at operating temperatures ranging from –30 to +100 degrees.
The design with a single-sided sliding seal combines sealing effectiveness with access for lubricants on the opposite side. Friction caused by the sealing lip occurs only on the closed side. This model has standard radial bearing clearance and complies with tolerance class P0 (ABEC 1). The mounting dimensions of 15 mm shaft diameter, 42 mm housing bore and 13 mm mounting width are relevant for installation.
The deep-groove ball bearing has a seal that seals on one side, whilst the opposite side remains open. It is made of 100Cr6 rolling bearing steel, has a sheet steel cage and is designed for a temperature range of -30 to +100 degrees.
The bearing has an inner diameter of 15 mm, an outer diameter of 42 mm and a width of 13 mm. The outer ring is cylindrical in shape and has neither a flange nor a ring groove.
The suffix RSR denotes a single-sided sliding seal. The sealing lip contacts the inner ring of the bearing and serves to minimise the escape of lubricant and the ingress of contaminants on the sealed side.
This model features the standard radial bearing clearance. This design is suitable for conventional mounting fits and moderate operating temperatures, where there is no need to compensate for temperature-induced expansion of the shaft.
The component is designed for operating temperatures between -30 and +100 degrees. This range is determined by the combined effect of the roller bearing steel, the sheet metal cage and the elastic sealing material.
The bearing is manufactured to the standard tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1. This standard precision meets the usual requirements for general mechanical engineering as well as for standardised shaft and housing seats.
