The SKF 62307 -2RS1 deep groove ball bearing, with a 35 mm bore and a ground seal on both sides, offers effective protection against contamination under radial loads.
The 62307 -2RS1 deep groove ball bearing provides designers and maintenance engineers with a single-row radial ball bearing for demanding rotational movements. The design has an outer diameter of 80 mm and a width of 31 mm. The robust sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements evenly into the deep raceways of the inner and outer rings. Manufactured from standard 100Cr6 rolling-bearing steel, this design offers high dimensional stability under continuous load. The component is manufactured by SKF and complies with current industry standards.
This rolling bearing primarily absorbs radial forces, but also guides shafts stably in both directions when subjected to axial forces. Typical applications include general mechanical engineering, as well as drive systems and industrial assemblies subject to combined loads. Thanks to its wide 31 mm design, the bearing provides reliable support on the shaft. At operating temperatures ranging from –20 to +120 degrees, the bearing operates reliably in standardised industrial environments without thermal overload.
The 2RS1 suffix denotes sealing discs that abut on both sides, featuring dimensionally stable sheet metal reinforcement. They protect the bearing interior from the ingress of moisture, dust or fine dirt particles. At the same time, the sealing lips reliably retain the factory-applied lubricant within the raceways. This sealed design eliminates the need for relubrication during operation, thereby reducing maintenance requirements for units that are difficult to access.
The main dimensions are 35 mm for the internal diameter (bore), 80 mm for the external diameter and 31 mm for the overall width. With these dimensions, the component can be mounted precisely onto cylindrical shafts and fitted into suitable housing bores. The outer ring requires no flange or ring groove.
2RS1 refers to sliding contact seals fitted on both sides, with integrated sheet metal reinforcement. The sealing lips make direct contact with the inner ring, retaining the grease fill within the rolling element chamber and preventing contaminants and moisture from entering the raceways.
The bearing has standard radial clearance. The operating clearance is designed to ensure perfect concentricity when standard fits are used for the shaft and housing and under normal heating conditions. It is suitable for standard applications without extreme temperature differences.
The permissible operating temperature range is from -20 to +120 degrees Celsius. These limits are determined by the thermal resistance of the seal material and the lubricant. Within this range, the rolling elements made of 100Cr6 rolling bearing steel and the sheet steel cage retain their mechanical properties in full.
The bearing is manufactured to standard tolerances, corresponding to the designations P0, PN and ABEC 1 respectively. This standard accuracy class defines the limit dimensions for bore, outer diameter and axial runout. It reliably meets the requirements of general mechanical engineering and drive technology in terms of running accuracy.
The inner and outer rings, as well as the rolling elements, are made from case-hardened standard roller bearing steel 100Cr6, which contributes to high fatigue strength under rolling contact. A robust sheet steel cage is used to separate and guide the balls; it retains its dimensional stability even under vibration and varying loads.
