The FAG NJ2328 -E-M1 cylindrical roller bearing, measuring 140 × 300 × 102 mm, offers high radial load-carrying capacity and axial guidance in one direction.
The NJ2328 -E-M1 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing designed for demanding mechanical bearing applications. The design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. This enables the bearing to accommodate high radial forces whilst also serving as a support bearing that withstands axial forces in one direction. The open design requires lubrication and sealing via the surrounding housing.
This radial roller bearing is used in industrial bearing arrangements where high radial loads prevail. As the bearing allows axial displacement of the shaft in one direction, it compensates for operational thermal length changes without constraint. In the design, the NJ design is combined with a non-locating bearing to provide a load-bearing arrangement for shafts with axial displacement.
The brass cage keeps the cylindrical rollers spaced apart and remains dimensionally stable under vibrations, impacts and higher acceleration forces. Furthermore, the inner ring can be removed from one side, which facilitates the separate installation of the inner and outer rings in the housing. With standard radial clearance, the absence of a lubrication bore in the outer ring and tolerance class P0/PN, the bearing meets common requirements in mechanical engineering.
This design is characterised by two solid flanges on the outer ring and one solid flange on the inner ring. As a result, the unit transmits primary radial loads and supports axial forces in one direction. In the opposite direction, the bearing allows for axial displacement of the shaft relative to the housing.
The internal diameter is 140 mm, the external diameter is 300 mm and the width is 102 mm. These dimensions determine the interfaces for shafts and bearing housings in mechanical and plant engineering.
The permissible operating temperature range is between -30 and +150 degrees Celsius. The built-in brass cage and the bearing rings are thermally rated for this range, provided that a suitable lubricant is used in the surrounding structure.
The absence of integrated seals allows for flexible lubrication via the housing or a lubrication system using oil or grease. Protection against dirt and moisture is provided by external housing seals.
The component is manufactured with standard radial bearing clearance. This design is suitable for standard mounting fits and standard operating temperatures in mechanical engineering, without the need to specify additional radial operating clearance.
Yes, the inner ring can be removed from one side. This makes installation and removal easier, as the inner ring and outer ring can be fitted to the shaft and mounted in the housing independently of one another.
