The SKF NU2319 ECJ cylindrical roller bearing, measuring 95 × 200 × 67 mm, serves as a separable support bearing designed to accommodate high radial loads.
The single-row cylindrical roller bearing NU2319 ECJ from SKF is designed for demanding industrial applications. Thanks to the line contact between the rolling elements and raceways, this design can accommodate heavy radial loads. As an open design without seals, the bearing is intended for operation with an external lubricant supply. With key dimensions of a 95 mm bore, 200 mm outside diameter and 67 mm width, it belongs to the wider size series for high loads.
This rolling bearing is primarily used in bearing arrangements subject to high radial loads. Designed as a floating bearing, the construction compensates for thermal length changes in the shaft directly within the bearing. The optimised internal design in the SKF Explorer version reduces friction and heat generation under high loads. The integrated sheet steel cage guides the cylindrical rollers and is suitable for operating temperatures ranging from –30 to +150 degrees Celsius.
In the NU design, the inner ring has no flanges and can be completely withdrawn from both sides. This considerably simplifies assembly and disassembly in the case of tight fits on the shaft and in the housing. Both bearing rings can be fitted separately, which reduces installation errors and shortens maintenance times. When designing the application, please note that this bearing cannot accommodate axial loads and must therefore be combined with a separate fixed bearing.
The bearing has an inside diameter of 95 mm, an outside diameter of 200 mm and a width across flats of 67 mm. These dimensions correspond to the standardised NU2319 series and define the required installation space on the shaft and in the housing seat.
The designation NU refers to a cylindrical roller bearing with two fixed flanges on the outer ring and a flangeless inner ring. The inner ring can be moved axially in both directions and removed completely. As a result, the component functions purely as a support bearing to accommodate radial forces.
The suffix ‘EC’ denotes an optimised internal design featuring a reinforced set of rollers and modified contact points on the flanges. The letter ‘J’ indicates a dimensionally stable cage made of pressed sheet steel, which guides the rollers and aids heat dissipation within the bearing.
This model features standard radial bearing clearance. This standard range provides a balanced operating clearance for common fit selections on the shaft and housing, provided that no extreme temperature differences occur between the inner and outer rings during operation.
The bearing is designed for continuous operation within a temperature range of -30 to +150 degrees Celsius. As this is an open bearing without integrated elastomer seals, the actual operating limit depends primarily on the temperature resistance of the selected grease or lubricating oil.
The bearing combines the dimensional accuracy of standard tolerance P0 (equivalent to ABEC 1) with increased running accuracy in accordance with Class P6 (equivalent to ABEC 3). It therefore offers precise concentricity whilst maintaining standardised mounting dimensions for the housing and shaft seat.
