The SKF NU213 ECJ cylindrical roller bearing, acting as a support bearing, can accommodate high radial loads and measures 65 x 120 x 23 mm.
The SKF NU213 ECJ cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row roller bearing with an optimised internal design. It withstands high radial loads and is specifically designed to function as a non-locating bearing in shaft arrangements. The NU design allows the inner ring to be removed from either side, which facilitates installation work on machinery. Fitted with a sheet steel cage and standard radial clearance, this open bearing is suitable for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +150 degrees. You can flexibly integrate the component into existing lubrication circuits.
This cylindrical roller bearing is particularly suitable for bearing arrangements where high radial forces are present and changes in shaft length need to be compensated for. As the inner ring has no flanges, the shaft moves axially within the bearing without restriction. This feature proves its worth in industrial shaft mountings with axial displacement. The open component has neither a groove nor a lubrication bore on the outer ring and is supplied with oil or grease directly via the surrounding structure.
The NU design completely separates the outer and inner rings from one another. You can fit both rings separately, which simplifies installation in cases of tight fits on the shaft or in the housing. In terms of precision, this design combines dimensional accuracy to tolerance class P0 (ABEC 1) with increased running accuracy to P6 (ABEC 3). This ensures precise concentricity. Before fitting, check the dimensions: 65 mm bore, 120 mm outer diameter and 23 mm width.
The roller bearing has an inside diameter of 65 mm, an outside diameter of 120 mm and a width of 23 mm. These standardised dimensions require the bearing to be aligned with the bearing seat on the shaft and within the housing prior to installation. With its single-row roller arrangement, it can accommodate high radial forces within a limited installation space.
In the NU design, the outer ring has two fixed guide flanges, whilst the inner ring is manufactured without flanges. This allows the inner ring to be pulled out axially from either side. The bearing acts purely as a non-locating bearing, compensating for thermally induced changes in the length of the shaft during operation without causing any additional axial stresses.
The permissible temperature range is from -30 to +150 degrees. In addition to the dimensional stability of the rings and the steel cage, the choice of lubricant is the key factor determining the actual operating limit. Always select grease or oil appropriate for the prevailing operating temperatures.
As this bearing is designed without integrated seals and the outer ring has no lubrication groove or lubrication bore, lubrication is provided via the surrounding housing structure. You can operate the bearing either with grease or in an oil bath. It is important to provide external sealing of the bearing housing to protect it from dirt and moisture.
This design combines dimensional accuracy to Class P0 or ABEC 1 with the tighter running accuracy of P6 or ABEC 3. This means standard tolerances for the mounting dimensions, whilst the rotating rings exhibit more precise concentricity. This ensures smooth, low-vibration operation of the shaft.
In this bearing, a sheet steel cage guides the cylindrical rollers. The designation ECJ denotes an optimised internal design combined with this lightweight, dimensionally stable cage type. It maintains a uniform spacing between the rolling elements and withstands mechanical loads within the standard speed and temperature ranges.
