The FAG N312 -E-XL-TVP2 single-row cylindrical roller bearing, with a 60 mm bore and a flangeless outer ring, accommodates high radial loads when used as a non-locating bearing.
The FAG N312 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing designed for demanding industrial applications. With a bore of 60 mm, an outer diameter of 130 mm and a width of 31 mm, this design accommodates high radial forces via the line contact of the rollers. As this is an open bearing, the component can be flexibly integrated into existing lubrication systems. The integrated polyamide cage guides the rolling elements with minimal vibration and ensures even load distribution during operation.
The N312 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is particularly suitable for bearing arrangements that must accommodate high radial forces at medium to high speeds. Typical applications include shaft mountings subject to purely radial loads and requiring axial compensation. Designed as a floating bearing, the N design allows for unrestricted compensation of thermally induced length changes in the shaft relative to the housing. The bearing covers an operating temperature range from –30 to +120 degrees and operates within a system with a separate lubricant supply.
In the N design, the inner ring features two fixed guide flanges, whilst the outer ring is flangeless and removable from both sides. This design facilitates assembly, as both bearing rings can be fitted separately. The TVP2 cage is made of polyamide and is characterised by its low weight and smooth running. In combination with the standard radial bearing clearance and tolerance class P0 (ABEC 1), the component is suitable for precisely guided shaft systems.
This bearing has an internal diameter of 60 mm, an external diameter of 130 mm and a width of 31 mm. The dimensional and running tolerances comply with tolerance class P0 and ABEC 1 respectively. Thanks to these standardised dimensions, this design can be used as a standardised spare part or in new designs.
The designation ‘N’ refers to a single-row cylindrical roller bearing with two fixed flanges on the inner ring and a flangeless outer ring. The outer ring can be removed from both ends, meaning that the bearing serves exclusively as a non-locating bearing. It compensates for axial displacement of the shaft during operation without constraint, directly between the rolling elements and the outer ring.
The suffix TVP2 indicates a polyamide cage. This material reduces the moving mass within the bearing and promotes quiet operation. The cage keeps the cylindrical rollers securely spaced apart and is suitable for an operating temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
The model features standard radial bearing clearance. This design is intended for standard operating conditions and common fit specifications for the shaft and housing. This ensures that the bearing operates with the correct operating clearance under normal operating conditions and at typical operating temperatures.
As this cylindrical roller bearing has an open design and does not have any integrated seals, the bearing housing requires an external lubricant supply. Depending on the housing design, lubrication is carried out using grease or lubricating oil. External housing seals serve to protect the rolling element system from ingress of dirt and to retain the lubricant.
