The FAG N207 -E-M1 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row non-locating bearing with a brass cage, measuring 35 × 72 × 17 mm, designed for high radial loads.
As a single-row radial roller bearing, the FAG N207 -E-M1 cylindrical roller bearing withstands high radial forces. Thanks to the line contact between the cylindrical rollers and the raceways, this design offers exceptional rigidity. With a bore of 35 mm, an outside diameter of 72 mm and a width of 17 mm, the bearing complies with standard industrial dimensions. It is designed as an open rolling bearing without sealing rings, allowing lubricant to circulate freely and heat to be dissipated rapidly during operation.
This cylindrical roller bearing is primarily used for purely radial loads where rigid guidance and high load-carrying capacities are required. The solid brass cage is designed for applications involving dynamic loads or vibrations. The permissible temperature range is between –30 and +150 degrees Celsius. As the bearing has an open design, lubrication and protection against foreign particles are provided by the surrounding housing structure.
The N design is characterised by two fixed flanges on the inner ring, whilst the outer ring is flangeless and removable from both sides. This allows the bearing to compensate for axial thermal expansion of the shaft with low friction within the bearing. This feature also makes it considerably easier to fit the two rings separately. The bearing has a tolerance class of Normal (P0/PN or ABEC 1) and a standard radial clearance, which facilitates installation in standard fits.
With a bore of 35 mm, an outer diameter of 72 mm and a width of 17 mm, the bearing complies with standardised dimensions. These dimensions define the fits on the shaft and in the bearing housing, and allow for direct comparison when replacing existing components.
In the N design, there are two fixed flanges on the inner ring which guide the rollers and the cage. The outer ring has no flanges and can be removed from either side. The bearing acts purely as a support bearing and compensates for temperature-induced axial changes in the shaft’s length without any constraint.
The solid brass cage, marked M1, guides the cylindrical rollers accurately and offers high resistance to mechanical shock loads and vibrations. Brass cages are suitable for demanding applications, as the material retains its dimensional stability even under thermal stress and exhibits good emergency running properties.
The permissible operating temperature range is between -30 and +150 degrees Celsius. As this is an open design without integrated plastic seals, the thermal limit in use is determined primarily by the stability of the components and the lubricant selected.
This model is manufactured with standard radial bearing clearance and complies with the standard tolerances of tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. This standard class is suitable for the vast majority of industrial drive solutions with typical fit tolerances on the shaft and housing at normal operating temperatures.
As the roller bearing is supplied open from the factory, please select the lubrication method appropriate to the application. It can be lubricated flexibly either via housing grease lubrication or an oil circulation system. As the outer ring is manufactured without a groove or lubrication bore, the lubricant is supplied via the side surfaces.
