The FAG NU322 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing, measuring 110 × 240 × 50 mm, provides a robust floating bearing arrangement for high radial forces in mechanical engineering.
The NU322 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing from FAG without a seal. With a bore of 110 mm, an outer diameter of 240 mm and a width of 50 mm, this open bearing is primarily designed to accommodate high radial forces. This design features standard radial clearance and complies with tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. It is suitable for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +120 degrees Celsius.
This single-row cylindrical roller bearing is particularly suitable for bearing arrangements subject to predominantly radial loads, where axial length changes in the shaft must be compensated for. In designs with a separate fixed and floating bearing arrangement, the NU design serves as the floating bearing. As the inner ring can be removed from both ends, the bearing compensates for operational thermal expansion of the shaft without constraint within the raceway. Pure radial loads are evenly transferred by the cylindrical rollers via line contact into the surrounding structure.
The integrated polyamide cage guides the rolling elements with low friction and contributes to smooth running within a temperature range of –30 to +120 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the separable design of the NU series simplifies assembly: the inner ring and outer ring, together with the roller set, can be fitted separately onto the shaft and housing. As the outer ring has no groove or lubrication bore and the bearing is of open design, you can adjust the lubricant supply via the bearing housing.
The bearing has an internal diameter of 110 mm, an external diameter of 240 mm and a width of 50 mm. These standardised key dimensions enable it to be fitted precisely into the corresponding housing bores and onto suitable shaft seats.
The NU design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring, whilst the inner ring is flangeless and can be removed from either side. As a result, the bearing functions purely as a non-locating bearing, which absorbs relative axial displacement between the shaft and the housing with low friction within the bearing.
The polyamide cage is characterised by its low weight and shock-absorbing properties. It guides the cylindrical rollers reliably and ensures quiet operation within the permissible temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees Celsius.
Standard radial bearing clearance means that the bearing has the standard operating clearance between the rollers and the raceways. It is used in standard fit designs and at normal operating temperatures to prevent the rolling elements from seizing.
As this cylindrical roller bearing is designed without an integrated seal, please select a lubricant suitable for the housing design. Depending on the rotational speed and operating environment, lubrication is provided by external greases or oils, which are applied via the surrounding housing.
The bearing is manufactured to the standard tolerance class P0/PN, which corresponds to the ABEC 1 classification. This class meets the standard accuracy requirements for dimensional and concentricity tolerances in general mechanical engineering and plant construction.
