The SKF NU1009 ECP cylindrical roller bearing offers high radial load-carrying capacity with compact dimensions of 45 × 75 × 16 mm for demanding industrial applications.
The SKF NU1009 ECP cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row roller bearing with an optimised internal design. The component has a bore of 45 mm, an outside diameter of 75 mm and a width of 16 mm. Thanks to the modified line contact between the cylindrical rollers and the raceway, this design can withstand high radial loads. The integrated polyamide cage guides the rolling elements precisely and ensures low-vibration operation of the bearing assembly.
This cylindrical roller bearing is primarily used where predominantly radial loads occur and axial length changes in the shaft need to be compensated for. As a floating bearing of the NU design, the component has two fixed flanges on the outer ring, whilst the inner ring is flangeless. This allows the shaft to move relative to the bearing housing with low friction in both axial directions, which effectively counteracts stresses caused by thermal linear expansion.
The polyamide cage is characterised by its low weight and good damping properties. The permissible temperature range extends from –30 to +120 degrees Celsius, making the bearing suitable for a wide variety of thermal environments. Furthermore, the inner ring can be removed from both sides, which significantly simplifies the separate assembly of the inner and outer rings. As an open rolling bearing without an integrated seal, the lubrication can be specifically adapted to the surrounding system.
With an internal diameter of 45 mm, an external diameter of 75 mm and a width of 16 mm, the bearing has standardised dimensions. These compact dimensions allow it to be fitted in space-constrained bearing arrangements subject exclusively to radial loads.
As a NU-type free end bearing, this roller bearing features two fixed guide flanges on the outer ring and a completely flangeless inner ring. This design compensates for axial changes in the length of the shaft directly within the bearing with minimal friction and also simplifies the separate installation of both bearing rings.
The permissible operating temperature range is between -30 and +120 degrees Celsius. The built-in polyamide cage plays a key role in determining these thermal operating limits and ensures precise roller guidance during continuous operation within this range.
The dimensional accuracy complies with the specifications for tolerance class P0 or standard tolerance (PN), as well as ABEC 1. In terms of running accuracy, the bearing meets the tighter tolerance class P6 or ABEC 3 for improved concentricity.
Without integrated sealing washers, the open design allows for direct and flexible lubrication with oil or grease via the machine housing. An external housing seal must be fitted to ensure reliable protection against dirt and moisture.
The bearing is designed with a standard radial clearance. This standard clearance is suitable for normal operating temperatures and conventional fit selections for the shaft and housing, to ensure even load distribution during operation.
