The SKF NUP312 ECP single-row cylindrical roller bearing combines a 60 mm bore with a fixed-house function for high radial load-carrying capacity and axial guidance applications.
This single-row roller bearing features an optimised internal design in the SKF Explorer series and combines compact dimensions with high radial load capacity. With dimensions of 60 mm bore, 130 mm outside diameter and 31 mm width, the NUP design guides shafts axially in both directions. As an open bearing with standard radial clearance, the bearing unit can be integrated directly into an existing lubrication system.
The NUP312 ECP fixed bearing is designed to guide shafts under heavy radial loads, whilst the flanges on both the inner and outer rings accommodate limited axial forces on both sides. The design is suitable for bearing arrangements subject to combined loads consisting predominantly of radial forces and axial fixation. The polyamide cage used reduces friction and noise at varying speeds, whilst the permissible temperature range of –30 to +120 degrees enables reliable operation in industrial environments.
The NUP design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring, one fixed flange on the inner ring and a loose flange disc. This arrangement guides the shaft in both axial directions whilst also simplifying the separate assembly of both bearing rings. When designing the application, the open design without a seal must be taken into account, as this requires a suitable housing seal. Thanks to the combination of dimensional accuracy P0 (ABEC 1) and increased running accuracy P6 (ABEC 3), the bearing operates with low vibration even under demanding conditions.
The NUP design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange and one loose flange disc on the inner ring. As a result, this design functions as a fixed bearing that guides a shaft in both axial directions whilst simultaneously absorbing very high radial forces via the line contact of the rollers.
The bearing has an inside diameter of 60 mm, an outside diameter of 130 mm and a width of 31 mm. It is a single-row cylindrical roller bearing without a ring groove or lubrication bore in the outer ring, manufactured to standardised industry dimensions.
The suffix ECP stands for an optimised internal design featuring a polyamide cage. This cage is lightweight, reduces inertial forces during changes in rotational speed and contributes to low-friction and low-noise roller guidance during operation.
The permissible operating temperature range is between -30 and +120 degrees Celsius. The main limiting factor here is the polyamide cage, which retains its dimensional stability within this temperature range and ensures reliable roller guidance during continuous operation.
The bearing is an open design without integrated sealing washers. Lubrication with grease or oil is provided by the housing design of the surrounding application, which also ensures protection against dirt and moisture.
The dimensional accuracy of the mating dimensions complies with standard tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1. For concentricity and smooth running, the tighter tolerance class P6 or ABEC 3 applies. This combination ensures smooth, low-vibration operation with a precise bearing fit.
