The NUP2212 -E-M1 cylindrical roller bearing, measuring 60 × 110 × 28 mm, serves as a fixed bearing for high radial loads and axial guidance on both sides.
The NUP2212 -E-M1 cylindrical roller bearing from FAG is a single-row rolling bearing designed for demanding mechanical applications in mechanical engineering. With a bore of 60 mm, an outer diameter of 110 mm and a width of 28 mm, the design can accommodate high radial loads. The open bearing features standard radial clearance and tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1), and is designed for a temperature range of -30 to +150 degrees Celsius.
This cylindrical roller bearing is suitable for bearing arrangements subject to high radial forces, where the shaft is to be axially fixed in both directions simultaneously. As an open bearing, it has no integrated seals. The bearing housing therefore requires an external seal to protect the bearing from contamination and lubricant loss.
The NUP design classifies this model as a fixed bearing: the outer ring has two fixed guide flanges, whilst the inner ring is fitted with one fixed flange and one loose flange disc. This combination guides the shaft in both axial directions. The solid brass cage (M1) keeps the rollers spaced apart and is suitable for mechanically demanding conditions and vibrations. Furthermore, the bearing can be dismantled for installation.
This model has a bore of 60 mm, an external diameter of 110 mm and a width of 28 mm. Before fitting, check that the shaft seat and the housing fit comply with these specifications to ensure a precise fit.
The NUP design denotes a fixed bearing for axial fixation. Two fixed flanges on the outer ring and a fixed flange with a loose flange washer on the inner ring accommodate not only radial loads but also axial forces from both directions. The bearing thereby guides the shaft axially within the housing.
The brass cage, identified by the suffix M1, is characterised by its dimensional stability and strength. It guides the cylindrical rollers with precision and is suitable for applications involving vibration, shock loads or operating temperatures of up to +150 degrees Celsius.
Standard radial bearing clearance corresponds to the standard operating clearance without any additional designation such as C3. It describes the internal radial clearance between the rollers and raceways prior to installation. This design is suitable for standard fits and moderate temperature differences between the shaft and housing.
As an open bearing, this version has no integrated seals. Lubrication is carried out using grease or lubricating oil during assembly, in accordance with the specifications of the installation site. As the outer ring has no lubrication bore, the lubricant is supplied from the side via the housing cavity.
The permissible operating temperature range is from -30 to +150 degrees Celsius. The bearing rings, rollers and brass cage are designed to withstand these thermal conditions. Ensure that the lubricant used is suitable for the system’s operating temperature.
