The FAG NUP2211 -E-M1 cylindrical roller bearing, as a single-row fixed bearing, combines high radial load-carrying capacity with axial guidance on both sides, with dimensions of 55x100x25 mm.
The FAG NUP2211 -E-M1 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row roller bearing designed for heavy radial loads and axial guidance tasks. With a bore of 55 mm, an outside diameter of 100 mm and a width of 25 mm, this version complies with tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. The open bearing features a brass cage and is suitable for a temperature range of -30 to +150 degrees.
As a fixed bearing, this cylindrical roller bearing absorbs high radial forces and provides axial guidance for the mounted shaft on both sides. The design of the NUP series limits axial displacement in both directions. As the outer ring has no groove or lubrication bore, the lubricant is supplied via the bearing housing.
The brass cage guides the cylindrical rollers and withstands mechanical loads and vibrations. Together with the standard radial clearance, the NUP design – featuring two fixed flanges on the outer ring and a fixed flange with a loose flange disc on the inner ring – ensures reliable shaft guidance. As this is an open bearing without an integrated seal, external seals and a suitable lubricant for the temperature range from -30 to +150 degrees must be provided.
The bearing has an inner diameter of 55 mm, an outer diameter of 100 mm and a width of 25 mm. The outer ring has a smooth finish; the component has neither a groove nor lubrication holes.
The NUP design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring, one fixed flange on the inner ring and a loose flange disc. This design guides the shaft in both axial directions, whilst the bearing simultaneously absorbs radial forces. In bearing arrangements, it is therefore traditionally used as a fixed bearing.
The designation M1 indicates a solid brass cage. Brass cages offer high mechanical strength and perform well under vibrations and dynamic forces. They withstand thermal stresses without undergoing unacceptable deformation under load.
This model is designed as an open roller bearing without integrated cover or sealing plates. Grease or lubricating oil flows unimpeded from the interior of the housing to the raceways. To protect against contamination and moisture, the bearing housing must be sealed externally by the surrounding structure.
The permissible operating temperature range is from -30 to +150 degrees Celsius. The dimensional stability of the bearing rings and the brass cage is designed to cope with this range. When designing the lubrication system, care must be taken to ensure that the selected lubricant retains its properties within this temperature range.
The designation P0 or PN indicates the standard tolerance class, comparable to the ABEC 1 classification. It defines the permissible dimensional and runout tolerances for industrial applications. This level of accuracy is sufficient for the vast majority of standard bearing arrangements in mechanical engineering.
