The FAG NJ2317 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing (85x180x60 mm) offers high radial load-carrying capacity and, as a support bearing, accommodates unilateral axial forces.
The NJ2317 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing designed for demanding industrial applications. Thanks to the contact between the cylindrical rollers and the hardened raceways, this design can accommodate high radial loads. With main dimensions of 85 mm bore diameter, 180 mm outer diameter and 60 mm width, this open bearing complies with standardised dimensions. The dimensionally stable polyamide cage guides the rolling elements evenly, ensuring smooth running.
This roller bearing is particularly suitable for bearing arrangements where, in addition to predominant radial forces, axial forces also act from one direction. The NJ design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. As a result, the bearing acts as a thrust bearing: it absorbs axial loads in one direction whilst allowing axial displacement of the shaft in the opposite direction.
The inner ring, which can be removed from one side, facilitates the assembly and disassembly of the bearing assembly, as the inner and outer rings can be fitted separately. The polyamide cage (designation TVP2) is characterised by low friction and elastic damping properties. As this is an open bearing without an integrated seal, the bearing assembly can be integrated into existing lubrication systems. The permissible temperature range is between -30 and +120 degrees.
The NJ design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one flange on the inner ring. The bearing acts as a support bearing, providing one-way axial guidance for shafts whilst allowing axial movement in the opposite direction. Furthermore, the inner ring can be removed for separate installation.
The bearing has an inner diameter of 85 mm, an outer diameter of 180 mm and a width of 60 mm. These dimensions provide the necessary stability to accommodate high radial forces in the bearing assembly.
The suffix TVP2 denotes a polyamide cage. This material reduces inertia within the bearing, ensures quiet operation and minimises friction losses. The component is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +120 degrees.
Standard bearing clearance (CN) refers to the radial clearance defined by the manufacturer in the unloaded state prior to installation. It is designed to ensure that, following assembly under normal fit conditions and operating temperatures, the rolling elements are guided correctly.
As the bearing is designed without its own sealing washers and the outer ring has no lubrication groove, lubricant is supplied via the surrounding housing structure. Depending on the operating conditions, the bearing is suitable for circulating oil lubrication or for use with rolling-element bearing greases.
The cylindrical roller bearing complies with tolerance class P0/PN, which corresponds to the ABEC 1 standard. This standard tolerance provides the customary dimensional and concentricity accuracy required for use in general mechanical engineering and plant construction.
