The FAG NJ219 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing, with dimensions of 95 × 170 × 32 mm, offers high radial load-carrying capacity and acts as a support bearing with an axial guidance function.
The NJ219 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing from FAG designed for heavy industrial loads. Thanks to the line contact of the cylindrical rollers, this bearing design can withstand significant radial forces. The manufacturer produces the bearing with a bore diameter of 95 mm, an outer diameter of 170 mm and a width of 32 mm. The NJ design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring, enabling the bearing to accommodate axial forces in one direction.
This cylindrical roller bearing is used in bearing arrangements where strong transverse forces act on the shaft and, at the same time, defined axial guidance is required. As a support bearing, the component guides the shaft axially on one side, whilst allowing for changes in length in the opposite direction within the bearing. As the outer ring is designed without a groove or lubrication bore, this open bearing is suitable for designs where lubrication is supplied via the housing or through circulating oil or grease.
The designation TVP2 refers to a polyamide window cage, which ensures smooth running and reduces the weight of the rotating components. This cage variant is designed for an operating temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees. A key practical advantage of the NJ design is its ease of disassembly: the inner ring can be removed from one side. This simplifies the separate mounting of the inner and outer rings onto the shaft and housing, as well as subsequent maintenance of the bearing assembly.
The bearing has a bore of 95 mm, an outside diameter of 170 mm and a width of 32 mm. These standardised key dimensions allow the component to be fitted precisely into housing bores and onto shaft seats.
The NJ design functions as a support bearing. The outer ring has two fixed guide flanges, whilst the inner ring has one fixed flange. As a result, the bearing assembly absorbs radial loads and supports axial forces in one direction, whilst allowing axial displacement in the opposite direction.
The polyamide cage guides the cylindrical rollers evenly between the raceways and prevents the rolling elements from coming into contact with one another. The elastic material absorbs shocks, operates quietly and reduces friction losses compared with heavy solid cages within the permissible thermal operating window.
The component is manufactured with standard radial bearing clearance (standard clearance CN). This standard is suitable for common fit selections on shafts and housings where, under normal operating conditions, there are no extreme temperature differences between the inner and outer rings.
The permissible operating temperature range is from -30 to +120 degrees. This range is limited primarily by the material of the polyamide cage and the thermal properties of the lubricant used during operation.
The bearing complies with tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. This refers to the standardised accuracy class for dimensional and running tolerances in general mechanical engineering, which is designed for the majority of industrial applications.
