The SKF NUP2312 ECP cylindrical roller bearing (60x130x46 mm) is a single-row fixed bearing designed to accommodate high radial forces and axial loads on both sides during operation.
The NUP2312 ECP cylindrical roller bearing belongs to SKF’s Explorer performance class and features an optimised internal design. With a bore of 60 mm, an outer diameter of 130 mm and a width of 46 mm, this single-row bearing accommodates heavy radial loads. Thanks to two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange and one loose flange disc on the inner ring, the NUP design secures the shaft axially in both directions.
This fixed bearing is suitable for mounting locations where shafts are guided under high radial loads and must be precisely positioned axially. The line contact between the rollers and raceways effectively counteracts deformation under load. The component is designed to support axial forces of varying direction directly via the flanges, without the need for a separate axial bearing. As an open design without seals, the bearing requires external sealing of the housing as well as a continuous supply of lubricant.
The suffix ECP denotes a polyamide cage which guides the rollers, reduces the mass of the moving parts and promotes smooth running. This component has a permissible temperature range of –30 to +120 degrees Celsius. The dimensional accuracy corresponds to class P0 (ABEC 1), whilst the increased running accuracy of class P6 (ABEC 3) supports improved concentricity during operation. Manufactured with standard radial bearing clearance, this version is suitable for typical installation conditions.
The NUP design denotes a cylindrical roller bearing that functions as a fixed bearing. The outer ring has two fixed flanges, whilst the inner ring has one fixed flange and one loose flange disc. This design guides the shaft in both axial directions and, in addition to high radial forces, also accommodates limited axial loads.
The bearing has an inside diameter of 60 mm, an outside diameter of 130 mm and a width of 46 mm. Thanks to its wider cross-section, these dimensions provide a high degree of rigidity compared with narrower designs.
The polyamide cage, identified by the abbreviation ECP, reduces the moving mass within the bearing compared with brass or steel versions. The material dampens vibrations, reduces friction on the rolling elements and allows the bearing to be used in a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees Celsius.
The NUP2312 ECP is an open bearing without integrated seals. The bearing location therefore requires an effective seal in the surrounding housing to prevent the ingress of contaminants. Lubrication is provided, depending on the application, via oil circuits, an oil bath or suitable rolling-element bearing greases.
Whilst dimensional accuracy with P0 corresponds to the basic tolerance, running accuracy in Class P6 offers tighter concentricity tolerances. This reduces the radial and axial runout of the rotating inner ring, contributing to smoother running and reduced vibrations throughout the entire system.
This model features standard radial bearing clearance. This design is tailored to standard shaft and housing fits, ensuring that the required operating clearance between the cylindrical rollers and the raceways is maintained once the bearing rings have been pressed into place.
