The FAG NJ304 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing, with dimensions of 20x52x15 mm, offers high radial load capacity and single-sided axial guidance.
As a single-row cylindrical roller bearing, the FAG NJ304 -E-XL-TVP2 absorbs very high radial loads. Thanks to the line contact between the rollers and raceways, the design withstands heavy loads. As an open rolling bearing without sealing rings, the bearing assembly can be flexibly integrated into external lubrication systems using oil or grease. The manufacturer, FAG, produces this component in the standard tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1) and with standard radial clearance for a wide range of industrial applications.
This radial roller bearing is used in industrial applications where rigid shaft mountings are required. Thanks to its cylindrical rolling elements, the component retains its dimensional stability even under high loads. The permissible temperature range is from –30 to +120 degrees Celsius. The NJ design acts as a support bearing: in addition to the predominant radial forces, it also absorbs axial guidance forces from one direction, which facilitates the design of compact assemblies.
The NJ design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. This allows the inner ring to be removed from one side, which facilitates the separate assembly of both bearing rings. At the same time, the bearing compensates for axial length changes in the shaft in the opposite direction. The suffix TVP2 indicates a polyamide cage. This cage is characterised by its low weight, elastic properties and quiet running.
The single-row cylindrical roller bearing has a bore diameter of 20 mm, an outer diameter of 52 mm and a width of 15 mm, and is designed to withstand high radial loads. The NJ design features fixed flanges on the outer ring and a flange on the inner ring. This enables the bearing to support axial forces from one direction.
The NJ design supports the shaft axially in one direction, whilst allowing axial movement in the opposite direction. The inner ring can be removed from one side. This allows both bearing rings to be fitted separately and compensates for axial changes in the length of the shaft during operation.
The designation TVP2 indicates a version with a polyamide cage. Polyamide cages are lightweight and possess elastic material properties, contributing to quiet operation. This material limits the permissible temperature range of the rolling bearing to between -30 and +120 degrees Celsius.
Standard radial bearing clearance refers to the internal clearance between the rollers and raceways, as specified by the manufacturer when the bearing is new. It is designed to suit standard shaft and housing fits. After press-fitting, sufficient operating clearance remains to ensure reliable operation under standard operating conditions.
As the bearing is manufactured without integrated seals, lubrication is supplied via the surrounding system. Depending on the operating requirements, either lubricating oil or rolling-element bearing grease is used. The application’s housing requires external seals to prevent lubricant loss and the ingress of dirt particles.
The component complies with the standard tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. This classification defines standardised dimensional and concentricity tolerances for industrial applications and ensures a precise fit when mounted on the shaft and in the bearing housing.
