FAG NU319 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing: Single-row non-locating bearing with a polyamide cage, dimensions 95 × 200 × 45 mm, designed for high radial load capacities.
The FAG NU319 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing, as a radial rolling bearing, primarily absorbs transverse forces. Thanks to the line contact between the cylindrical rollers and the raceways, the design can withstand high radial loads. With a bore of 95 mm, an outside diameter of 200 mm and a width of 45 mm, this single-row bearing complies with standardised mounting dimensions. As the outer ring is manufactured without a groove or lubrication bore, the lubricant is fed directly into the open bearing.
This single-row roller bearing is primarily designed to accommodate high radial loads whilst allowing for simultaneous changes in shaft length. In combination with a fixed bearing, the NU floating bearing design compensates for thermally induced expansion within the bearing without causing binding. Typical applications include shaft mountings in mechanical engineering where high radial forces are present and axial displacement of the shaft seat is required.
The NU design is characterised by two solid flanges on the outer ring, whilst the inner ring is flangeless and can be removed from either side. This separability of the bearing rings facilitates installation and maintenance, as the inner and outer rings can be pressed on separately. The TVP2 polyamide cage guides the rollers quietly whilst being lightweight. With standard radial clearance and tolerance class P0/PN, the bearing is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +120 degrees.
The dimensions are 95 mm internal diameter, 200 mm external diameter and 45 mm width. The outer ring is designed without a ring groove or lubrication bore. The mounting dimensions comply with the standard series for industrial roller bearings.
As a free-running bearing, the NU design features two guide flanges on the outer ring, whilst the inner ring has no flanges. This allows the inner ring to be pulled out axially from either side. This design enables the free longitudinal compensation of a rotating shaft relative to the bearing housing.
The cage, designated TVP2, is made of polyamide. This material is characterised by good elastic properties and favourable coefficients of friction. The polyamide cage guides the roller elements quietly and is suitable for the permissible temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
As an open bearing without integrated seals, this design requires lubrication prior to commissioning using a suitable rolling-bearing grease or lubricating oil. As no sealing washers are fitted at the factory, the housing design must protect the bearing from contamination and lubricant loss.
This design features standard radial bearing clearance and tolerances in accordance with the standard classes P0 and PN, which correspond to the international ABEC 1 classification. This classification is designed for standard fit combinations and typical operating conditions in mechanical engineering.
No, a NU-type cylindrical roller bearing only accommodates radial forces. As the inner ring has no guide flanges, it cannot transmit axial forces. To secure the shaft axially, a separate fixed bearing must be provided in the relevant assembly.
