The FAG NUP226 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing supports shafts with a diameter of 130 mm as a fixed bearing under high radial loads.
The NUP226 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row rolling bearing for industrial applications. With dimensions of 130 mm bore, 230 mm outside diameter and 40 mm width, this open bearing accommodates high radial forces. Thanks to the NUP design, the component acts as a fixed bearing that secures shafts in both axial directions. It is manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1) with standard radial clearance for normal operation.
This fixed bearing is designed for applications where high radial forces occur in combination with axial guidance on both sides. Thanks to the line contact of the cylindrical rollers, the rolling bearing can withstand high radial loads. Two fixed flanges on the outer ring and a fixed flange with a loose flange disc on the inner ring guide the shaft in both axial directions.
As an open bearing, this design requires external sealing of the housing and a suitable supply of grease or lubricating oil.
The polyamide cage guides the cylindrical rollers with low friction and ensures smooth running during operation. Compared to metal cages, the low weight of the plastic reduces the centrifugal forces acting on the moving components. The roller bearing is designed for operation within a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
When designing the surrounding structure, it must be borne in mind that the outer ring is manufactured without a groove or lubrication bore.
As a fixed bearing, this design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring, as well as one fixed flange and a separate, loose flange disc on the inner ring. This enables the rolling bearing to absorb radial forces and guide the shaft axially in both directions.
With a bore of 130 mm, an outside diameter of 230 mm and a width of 40 mm, the bearing complies with the standardised main dimensions. Manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1, it is suitable for precision-machined shaft seats and housing bores.
Polyamide is characterised by its low weight, which reduces the centrifugal forces within the cage and promotes low-friction rotation of the roller bodies. The cage absorbs shocks during operation and helps to minimise noise from the bearing assembly.
The roller bearing is designed for operation within a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees Celsius. The polyamide cage and the rolling elements are designed to withstand this temperature range, and the lubricant used must also be suitable for this range.
External sealing elements in the housing design, such as shaft seals or gap seals, protect the open bearing housing from dirt particles. At the same time, they keep the lubricant inside the bearing housing, as this model is designed without integrated seals.
Standard radial bearing clearance refers to the factory-set standard clearance between the rollers and raceways. This defined clearance compensates for typical dimensional changes caused by temperature variations and fit allowances during installation, without resulting in undesirable stress.
