The FAG NU2207 -E-XL-TVP2 single-row cylindrical roller bearing, with a 35 mm bore and an outer diameter of 72 mm, offers a high radial load capacity.
As a radial roller bearing, this unit can withstand high transverse forces. The cylindrical rollers create line contact with the raceway, giving the component high radial stiffness. The design is from FAG and has a width of 23 mm. Designed as an open bearing without an integrated seal, the unit is intended for an operating temperature range of –30 to +120 degrees Celsius.
This design is primarily used in bearing arrangements where high radial loads must be supported and axial length changes in the shaft must be compensated for. Typical applications include industrial shaft bearings where thermal expansion occurs. As a non-locating bearing, the NU design does not absorb any axial forces. When the shaft expands thermally, the inner ring moves relative to the set of rollers in the outer ring, which helps to prevent axial stress in the overall system.
The NU design is characterised by two solid flanges on the outer ring and a smooth, flangeless inner ring. The inner ring can be removed from both sides, which facilitates the separate assembly of the inner and outer rings. The polyamide cage guides the rolling elements whilst being lightweight itself. The bearing is manufactured to the standard tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1) and has the standard radial clearance. As the outer ring is designed without a groove or lubrication bore, the lubricant is supplied via the surrounding structure.
The bearing has an internal diameter of 35 mm, an external diameter of 72 mm and a width of 23 mm. These standardised key dimensions enable it to be fitted precisely into housings and onto shafts with corresponding interference fits.
The NU design denotes a non-locating bearing with two fixed flanges on the outer ring and a flangeless inner ring. The inner ring can be withdrawn from either side. This design compensates for axial changes in the length of the shaft directly within the bearing, but does not transmit any axial forces.
The polyamide cage maintains a uniform spacing between the cylindrical rolling elements and prevents them from coming into contact with one another. The material ensures flexible guidance and is designed for an operating temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees Celsius.
The product is manufactured with standard radial bearing clearances, which are designed for typical fit selections and normal operating temperatures. The dimensional and concentricity accuracy complies with the standard tolerance classes P0 and PN, respectively, which are comparable to the ABEC 1 specification.
This is an open bearing without integrated grinding or cover discs. Similarly, the outer ring has no groove or lubrication bore. Sealing is provided by the surrounding housing structure, through which lubrication is also supplied using a suitable lubricant.
