The FAG 3219-M angular contact ball bearing, with dimensions of 95 × 170 × 55.6 mm, accommodates combined radial loads as well as axial loads in both directions.
The double-row angular contact ball bearing 3219 -M combines a compact design with high load-carrying capacity in both the radial and axial directions. The internal geometry is functionally equivalent to two single-row angular contact ball bearings in an O-arrangement, but requires less installation space in the axial direction. Manufactured from standard rolling-element bearing steel 100Cr6 and fitted with a guided brass cage, this design is suitable for environments with operating temperatures between –20 and +150 degrees Celsius.
This rolling bearing accommodates combined loads and supports rotating shafts in both axial directions. Due to the angular contact between the two rows of balls, axial forces are transmitted directly via the raceways on both sides. The design, which has no groove or flange on the outer ring, allows for flush mounting in cylindrical housing bores, whilst manufacture to tolerance class P0 or PN ensures defined dimensional accuracy when installed.
The suffix -M indicates the solid brass cage, which precisely maintains the spacing between the rolling elements. Brass is characterised by high mechanical strength and thermal resilience, and promotes smooth running under dynamic loads. As an open design, this bearing has no integrated seals, allowing lubricants to reach the raceways directly and heat to be dissipated via the lubrication circuit.
Double-row angular contact ball bearings of this type transmit radial loads whilst simultaneously accommodating axial forces from both directions. The version with the suffix -M features a solid brass cage, which offers high stability under demanding operating conditions.
The bearing has an internal diameter of 95 mm, an external diameter of 170 mm and a total width of 55.6 mm. The tolerances comply with the standard accuracy classes P0 and PN (equivalent to ABEC 1).
Open roller bearings do not have their own cover plates or sealing discs. This design allows for the direct circulation of lubricating oil or grease from the housing circuit and is suitable for bearing locations that are protected by external seals such as shaft seals.
The code letter -M denotes a solid brass cage. Brass cages are characterised by high strength, good run-on properties and thermal resistance, and perform well under high levels of vibration and shock loads.
The bearing is designed for an operating temperature range of -20 to +150 degrees. The actual operating range is determined by the thermal limits of the lubricant used and the surrounding housing seals.
This component is manufactured with standard radial bearing clearance. This standard bearing clearance is designed to ensure that, once pressed onto standard fits, a balanced operating clearance is maintained for typical industrial applications.
