Axial tapered roller bearings are suitable for accommodating high axial loads and require little axial space. Single-direction axial tapered roller bearings in symmetrical and asymmetrical designs are available. The double-direction axial acting designs are available either with a flat shaft locating washer or tapered raceways on shaft and housing locating washers.
