The 32030-X tapered roller bearing, measuring 150 × 225 × 48 mm, accommodates high radial loads as well as single-sided axial loads in industrial applications.
The 32030 -X tapered roller bearing from FAG Wälzlager is designed as a single-row bearing for demanding mechanical loads. Thanks to its truncated cone-shaped rollers, the design simultaneously transmits radial forces and axial loads from a single direction. The complete tapered roller bearing has the following main dimensions: 150 mm bore, 225 mm outside diameter and 48 mm width. In its standard version, this model offers a practical solution for industrial bearing applications.
This tapered roller bearing is primarily used for high combined loads in general mechanical engineering and plant construction. As a single-row bearing, by design, can only accommodate axial forces in one direction, in practice it is often mounted in pairs in an X or O configuration. This allows for axial guidance on the shaft and precise adjustment of the bearing clearance.
During installation, adjusting the axial bearing clearance or preload against a second bearing is crucial for smooth running. Manufacture to tolerance class P0/PN (corresponding to ABEC 1) defines precise fit conditions in the bearing housing and on the shaft. The integrated sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements in an orderly manner across the entire permissible temperature range from –30 to +120 degrees. The external lubrication system is selected to suit the specific installation environment.
Designed as a single-row rolling bearing, this version accommodates combined radial and axial loads. The tapered raceways of the inner and outer rings effectively dissipate the forces acting on the bearing. With a bore of 150 mm and an outer diameter of 225 mm, this component is suitable for mechanically stressed bearing arrangements in mechanical engineering.
With an internal diameter of 150 mm, an external diameter of 225 mm and a total width of 48 mm, the bearing complies with standardised dimensions. These metric dimensions enable the housing seat and shaft fit to be planned reliably.
A temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees is permissible for operation. The sheet steel cage and the dimensional stability of the rings are designed to withstand this temperature range, whilst the selected lubricant should be suitable for the respective operating temperature.
Due to its design, a single tapered roller bearing can only accommodate axial loads in one direction. For alternating or bidirectional axial forces, a second bearing is fitted in a mirror-image configuration. This arrangement also allows the axial clearance to be adjusted precisely.
This version is manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN, which corresponds to ABEC 1. This standard tolerance meets common industrial requirements and defines the dimensional accuracy required for a precise fit when mounted on shafts and in housing bores.
The sheet steel cage guides the tapered rolling elements at a uniform distance apart and prevents them from coming into contact with one another. This reduces friction and promotes an even load distribution along the raceways under dynamic loading.
