The FAG 32052-X tapered roller bearing with dimensions of 260 × 400 × 87 mm is designed to withstand high combined radial and axial loads in heavy machinery.
This single-row FAG 32052 -X tapered roller bearing is designed for use in large-scale machinery. The design comprises an inner ring with a roller cage and a removable outer ring. With an inner diameter of 260 mm, an outer diameter of 400 mm and a width of 87 mm, this roller bearing is suitable for shafts subjected to high static and dynamic loads. You will receive a complete tapered roller bearing with standard tolerances in accordance with P0/PN or ABEC 1.
Thanks to its tapered rollers and raceways, the 32052 -X tapered roller bearing can simultaneously withstand high radial forces and unilateral axial forces. The lines of action converge at an angle to the bearing axis, ensuring that the forces acting on the bearing are distributed evenly across the rolling elements. For axial guidance on both sides, users typically fit a second bearing in a mirror-image O or X arrangement on the shaft. Typical applications include industrial gearboxes and heavy machinery bearings.
A sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements and maintains a stable spacing between the tapered rollers. This design withstands mechanical loads and supports a wide range of applications at operating temperatures from –30 to +120 degrees. As the inner and outer rings can be fitted separately, the bearing clearance can be adjusted during installation via axial preload. The open design allows for flexible lubrication with grease or oil, depending on the application requirements.
The main dimensions are 260 mm internal diameter, 400 mm external diameter and 87 mm overall width. These standardised dimensions allow for a precise fit when installed in housings and on shafts of the corresponding size series.
The roller bearing complies with tolerance class P0/PN, which is also known internationally as ABEC 1. This design offers the standard tolerance commonly used for industrial gearbox and machinery applications where standard requirements for running accuracy and dimensional accuracy are paramount.
The permissible temperature range is from -30 to +120 degrees. Within this temperature range, the steel components and the integrated sheet steel cage retain their dimensional stability and mechanical properties, provided the lubrication system is correctly designed.
Single-row tapered roller bearings are not self-retaining. The inner ring, together with the set of rollers, and the outer ring can be pressed separately into the housing and shaft. This separability considerably simplifies the assembly of large assemblies and allows the axial play to be adjusted during commissioning.
The bearing clearance in single-row tapered roller bearings is not specified by the manufacturer. It is only set during assembly by precisely adjusting the bearing against a counter-bearing using shims, nuts or keyways, in order to achieve the required operating conditions.
The sheet steel cage keeps the tapered rollers at a uniform distance apart and prevents direct contact between adjacent rollers. This reduces friction and heat build-up. At the same time, the cage secures the rolling elements on the inner ring raceway when the outer ring has been removed.
