The SKF 22326 CC/W33 self-aligning roller bearing, with dimensions of 130 × 280 × 93 mm, provides a high-load-capacity bearing solution for heavy radial loads and misalignment.
The SKF 22326 CC/W33 self-aligning roller bearing is a double-row roller bearing designed for demanding industrial applications. With a bore of 130 mm, an outer diameter of 280 mm and a width of 93 mm, it accommodates heavy radial loads as well as simultaneously acting axial forces. Thanks to the spherical outer ring raceway, the self-aligning roller bearing automatically compensates for shaft misalignment. As an open bearing made from standard 100Cr6 rolling bearing steel, this version is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +200 degrees.
The 22326 CC/W33 self-aligning roller bearing is particularly suitable for demanding applications where high radial forces and shaft deflection occur. Thanks to its angularly adjustable design, the bearing compensates for misalignment between the inner and outer rings without compromising load-carrying capacity. Operators use this SKF Explorer design in systems where precise guidance and running accuracy to tolerance class P5 are required.
The suffix W33 denotes an annular lubrication groove with lubrication holes in the outer ring, which directs lubricant directly into the bearing interior. The designation CC stands for guide-free inner rings and window-type sheet steel cages, which reduce friction and support smooth rolling of the rollers. As this is an open bearing with standard radial clearance, the bearing housing must be protected against the ingress of dirt and relubricated externally in order to utilise the full temperature range from -30 to +200 degrees.
This bearing has an inside diameter of 130 mm, an outside diameter of 280 mm and a width of 93 mm. With these dimensions, the roller bearing is suitable for high-load shaft mountings where compact widths and large shaft diameters are required.
The designation W33 indicates a lubrication groove and lubrication holes in the outer ring of the bearing. This design facilitates relubrication whilst the bearing is in operation, as the lubricant is distributed evenly around the entire circumference between the two rows of rollers, rather than being introduced from the side.
The bearing combines dimensional accuracy in the PN standard class with increased running accuracy in tolerance class P5. This minimises concentricity errors. This combination promotes smooth vibration behaviour and low-vibration running characteristics in precisely guided industrial machinery.
As this is an open design without integrated sealing washers, the component requires external sealing of the bearing housing. Lubrication is provided via the W33 lubrication groove in the outer ring, either with grease or lubricating oil, suitable for the specified operating range of -30 to +200 degrees.
The built-in sheet steel cage separates the rolling elements from one another and prevents them from coming into contact with each other during operation. This design ensures a low mass, keeps friction losses to a minimum and withstands mechanical stresses within the permissible temperature range of up to 200 degrees.
The outer ring has a continuous hollow-spherical raceway on which the spherical rollers can adjust freely. In the event of shaft deflection or misalignment between the shaft and the housing, the roller assembly, together with the inner ring, pivots continuously without any harmful edge stresses developing on the rollers.
